Anti-Westboro

Politics, Religion and Opinion In One Place!!

Welcome

This is a website for people opposed to the Westboro Baptist "Church". For those who don't know, they're a hate group from Topeka, Kansas. Most of the members are related to the groups leader, Fred Phelps Sr. The purpose of this website is to educate people about this cult and what they can do as citizens of the United States to put a stop to these hatemongers.

In no way, shape, or form do we work to promote the Westboro Baptists or the hate crimes they committ.

Why Do They Do This?

The Westboro Baptist "Church" spends most of their time and money protesting at the funerals of American soldiers, homosexuals and political and religious figures. They also protest at funerals for those involved in tragic death (9/11 victims, Hurricane Katrina victims). Many people ask why they do this. The reason they state is because God is punishing these people for their tolerance of homosexuality. Their press releases on their website constantly point out that the people they protest against died because of the fact that America tolerates homosexuality. Nevermind that the word "fag" isn't in the Bible. They still consider it "bible speech". They also point out that, when they protest at funerals of those who have personally hurt them or their reputation in the past, it's because God is punishing them in revenge for what that person or the group they're affiliated with may have done to the Westboro group.
