First, Happy New Year! Our New Year's resolution this year is to make a new song almost every practice! So thats good news. You might catch some of it here.

Third, Christmas has just passed which can only mean one thing ... NEW EQUIPMENT! Mike bought himself a new Traynor something something watt tube amp. Kyle got a much needed bass pedal, and two cymbal stands. Eric got Mike's old amp. Jimmy is still in the process of getting a Bass amp... He will have it by bogarts.

well, we played a pretty poopy set at parkland tonight

on the other hand, every other band was amazing (especially hedge; they make me cry)
rainheads kept it cool and classic; neverender brought the noise; hedge grooved like there was no tomorrow; the hollow was just flat-out heavy; and we were the equivalent to a stocking filled with elf poop

ah well, the owner was happy cuz he made money and we're probably gonna book another show with many of the same bands in a little bit, probably around the time of christmas break....

so, we played a show today, er, yesterday (it's after midnight) at the oak hills festival
i spose we did alright, the other two bands killed it though (major props to tom for making me cry with his crazy guitar stuff.)

anyhoo, the third band that played says they wanna play some shows with us in the future. yay! im excited. so, these will more than likely take place at that icky parkland theater (its kinda gritty there) but they're really cool about high school bands playing there, so, ya take what ya can i spose

we were actually supposed to play there tonight, er yesterday night, but that got cancelled or something to that effect.... but when stuff gets finalized about that place, we'll let you know here, and jimmy will probably put up fliers at dater, which is assuming they can read there...

(Harrison Avenue Theater) if we can find another band to play with. We had high hopes for this summer but we have made little progress so far. So leave some messages  to motivate us to make new material and get a C.D. out to you guys at the end of the summer.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

I (Kyle), in my quest to be the better drummist, have recently invested in a piece of chinese metal, shaped much like a plate but with bent up sides.  This is commonly referred to as a GONG!!!  Also, the previous owner of my drum set who was loaning it to me has told me that it is now mine.  just thought you all like to know of my most recent acquisitions.

well, Kyle's goin to CBGB's and i'm jealous

so, we were thinking of re-recording a couple of our better old songs (namely "Louie" and "Cat Poo") and we might get an EP together sometime

expect a new cd of mike's stuff sometime by the end of summer, as he's begun recording a new batch o' songs

also, me (mike) and jimmy pretty much tried to write the corniest, poppiest nineties song ever. we may have succeeded. it's currently in the recording process, but stay tuned as it will probably find its way on the internet soon.

we also deiscovered an old three song demo we made in 8th grade with our old lineup that included John Puttmann and Zak McCarthy (currently in Lunchbox, check em out). It includes an "Expressions" different from our album version (we don't rap), "Cat Poo", and probably the first song mike ever wrote for this whole band nonsense "So Who's the Judge". "So Who's the Judge" will soon be posted online, as we found it both humorous and decent at the same time.

in the meantime, a semi-new original "Hearts Stars and Horseshoes", a new and improved "Cat Poo", and a song by mike called "Lofty" are available for you to listen to here

So we've been trying to keep semi-weekly updates on here.  This week we kinda of took off but we have some bright ideas for the summer ahead.  We are going to take and lock ourselves in michael's living room and come up with new material.  There was also some talk about putting together a new c.d. at the end of our summer of creativity.  Another of our ideas is to play some live shows.  Be watching up in her' for details.

Finally! Eric just bought himself a brand new shiny guitar. Details you say? Well, it's an Epiphone Classic Les Paul with a beautiful mahogany red finish. It's a looker. Don't tell our friend Gordo, cuz Eric got it from Guitar Center.

Also! We finally un-lazied ourselves enough to make a perfect Cat-Poo. We avenged the shittyness of the one on the cd and then some. It should be on purevolume soon enough. Check it out.

cept that i figured out how to bounce and pan tracks on my four track and also learned how to loop with reverb
which basically means that our recordings will be a million times better from now on
we dont have a new song as of yet, but when we do, it'll be high quality, i guarentee it
