A.N.S.W.E.R.1 is a high altitude experimental balloon project, based in the UK.
The project eventually hopes to launch a balloon with a unique set of radiological instuments on board to measure xray and particle flux, but before then a series of test launches on a smaller scale will be performed.

10/2/06 Initial trials of the prototype payload have begun:
403Mhz 'off the shelf' telemetry transmitter (Visala Radiosonde)
and a low energy xray compensated detector (10Kev-1.2MeV)
Proportional particle counter using the same detector (but PHA discriminated).
