                                       About the Gemstone I use for my pieces

     Below you will find some information on Gemstones and their healing benefits.  My jewelry is mostly made of them and has benefit to the person wearing it which ties nicely into my New Age lifestyle and philosophy of life.  I have written on a few stones.  I will elaborate on more as time allows.

     There are 7 chakras. 

The first is red (muladhara) symbolizing passion,courage,will,creativity (the earth)  Stones in this category are coral,red adventurine,jasper.  Green is good to add to surroundings to offset energy.  Stones are best worn with the root chakra for the spine(base) for grounding and survival.  These stones are : agate(May birth stone, cooling,quenches thirst,for heart,stomach,insomnia,courage,emotional strength,guard against danger),black obsidian,carnelian,hematite(wards off negativity from within and outside),garnet(been around for thousands of years,dating back to 12 tribes of Moses),onyx(for protection,master of own fate,for letting go,detachment,change-helps release old beliefs and patterns that no longer serve us.  Visions.  Guidance from meditation, dreams.  Aligns total person with Higher Power,absorbs energy needed from universe).

The second is orange (svadhisthana) around one's abdomen.  Carnelian is one stone used.

Third- yellow (manipura) solar plexus below the ribs above the naval.  Water.  Fire Joy  Citrine,emerald,tiger eye(cancer), peridot(mends damaged relationships,intuition)

4th_-green (anahata) chest Air.Social identity,self acceptance,self love,love for others,forgiveness,compassionadventurine(calming),jade(wealth,health,longevity,minimizes negative thoughts),amazonite,rose quartz(great for meditation) emerald(heals mental illness such as depression and anxiety as balances one)

5th-blue (vishuddha) throat trust,communicate one's deepest truths  turquoise, lapis(tranquility)

6th- Indigo blue-violet (Ajna) Third Eye  Light  center of forehead  self reflection, dignity   soladite,fluorite    Mercury-Neptune aligned

7th- purple (Suhasrara)   Crown   Top of head    Life force     moonstone, amethyst (purple variety of quartz.  Worn by royalty.  Strength,wisdom,confidence,protection,peace,cleansing,reduction of addictive behaviours,less depression, stress.  Meditation crystal.  Powerful when combined with rose quartz.  February stone.  Aligned with all the planets.

Ruby- good for arthritis, ulcers July stone  Sun

Pearl-  for high blood pressure, cleansing uterine tract and healing problems in this area   June

Amber-fossil resin 90 million years old  for pain  Pulls disease from the body.
