Resume/Personal Info
Hi, my name is Ann Reilly and the name of my company and Web Page is Artzstuf as I am an artist/ jewelry designer who enjoys photography, sketching, making jewelry and painting.
I have an associates degree from SUNY Binghamton and studied art there both studio and history. When I left college I did office work then retail. I sold makeup for a while and took an entrepreneurial course which lead me to start my own company in 1996, a pet service. I did this for 4 years til I got involved in disability rights advocacy as I struggle with some disabilites. I did some modeling in 2004-2006. More recently I have done art work. I also dabbled in photography. Now I make jewelry and sell it mostly to stores on consignment and distributors' items for wholesale.
Currently my art is in a gift shop and I have participated in an art show. I am a member of GCCA, Green County Council of the Arts. My jewelry can be found in many stores and I will be participating in a contest run by one of my distributors for a chance to win a gift certificate so can buy more jewelry supplies.
I also put together a business plan and submitted it to some agencies for funding. It needs to be redone and I will get help with it through the Small Business Administration. I will then resubmit it. If I get the funding I believe I can succeed at making a go of this business as then I can get a professional web site with domain name which I can design, a DBA, a business account through my bank, a merchant account to handle debit credit card transactions, a cottage with apartment as well as studio space, private, etc.
Besides the business, I also do animal rescue and have been involved with this rewarding work for many years. Some of my rescues are displayed throughout this site as I am so proud of how nicely they have been coming along. I have ties to Animalkind, a rescue group and their link is on mylinks page if you care to learn more about them and the wonderful work they do.
I also enjoy singing and playing guitar when I am not working, which unfortunately is alot. I do enjoy what I do and I do believe that is quite important when running a business. It is my hope that you do enjoy your visit to my page and that you explore its many links also to other intersting sites I frequent. I also have a health blog linked with my art blog as an RSS if you care to get some free health tips. As always, "keep the faith" and "here's to your health!"
