As mentioned in the book, New Chet's Diner is found on pages 347 thru 349. Many folks have been to Chet's a time or two in the past. In fact, I was told that people who moved from Toledo bring their families back, while in town, to visit Chet's Diner to introduce to their own children the true meaning of home cooked meals. Service is fast and friendly while the prices are reasonable and the food is DELICIOUS!

I visited New Chet's Restaurant on Thursday, November 1, 2007, to hand deliver a complimentary copy of April Showers to this wonderful couple, Berlyn and Richard. I wanted to thank them for their kindness a few years ago when I first brought my family to New Chet's when we were visiting family in Toledo. I will never forget how friendly the owners were and how personable they were to the point of making us NOT feel like customers, but that of welcomed guests. There are not very many places that I am aware of that any restaurant will mean what they say by saying, "Thanks for coming," that is warm and heartfelt. This is why I chose to write about New Chet's. It is a small token of thanks for their kindness throughout the years. Jamie Farr has Tony Packos while Anne Maisy Scott has New Chet's. My new motto in life is, "It's all good!"
