In january 2002, I began a drawing exchange with a group of Canadian artists the Royal Art Lodge entited "drawing marathon". This projet consists in sending drawings back and forth across the atlantic ocean to be completed by the receiver. The resut of this collabouration gives hybride images born of a "popular" and intimate culture. The line of each participent varys (using a mixture of crayons, pens, felts and collage) and contain influences from cave painting, surealists paintings, comic strips, publicities, and fairy tales of the 20th century. Using the immidiate expression of drawing, we try to push our limits creating new possibilities in a serious game of communication between artists.
