Background:
Younger sister of Takenori Akagi and the love of Hanamichi Sakuragi's life. Haruko is usually join by two friends Fuji and Matsui. She very much loves basketball and Kaede Rukawa.
Skills:
Haruko is not that talented in basketball but she knows the basics thanks to her older brother. She was also the one who spotted Hanamichi's natural talent when it comes to the game.
Weakness:
This girl is dense, she doesn't even notice that Hanamichi is crazy about her.
Personality:
Haruko is a very sweet girl who's always ther to support the team. Especially her brother, Sakuragi and Rukawa.
She is desperately in love with Rukawa (just like half the female population in Shohoku). She has been in love with him since junior high, when his team played against her school team. After the district games Rukawa set his goal to become the no.1 player of Japan and became even more devoted to basketball, when Haruko looked in his eyes, she realized that she would never get a place in his heart...
She has a lot respect for basketball players, especially for her brother. She recognized Sakuragi;s talent and gives him the encouragement he needs.
