A Warm Irrashaimasu
I've created an About Me page yet again. I just figured since a lot of people are having an intro page to the webmaster/webmistress of the site, I wanted to put one up again as well. So hopefully, you'll get to know me a bit better than knowing my "name" is Sayuri and that I'm obsessed with anime guys! ^_^ Navigation is at the bottom of the page.

SO...just WHO the hell are you, then?
Ah the classic question! I am your average run-of-the-mill, white, ditzy, high-school, teenage "young lady." Wait!! I'm not that boring! I have lots more to tell...I MEAN IT!
*grabs Higurashi Kagome and whispers something in her ear*
Kagome: Hai! *she puts her hands on her hips* OSUWARI! *everyone whiplashes down from their standing position through their chairs*
Sayuri: *muah* Arigatou, Kagome-chan!
Kinda makes ya think about what I just did to Kagome, eh? ^_~ - I AM STRAIGHT... and single-in-waiting. ANYWAY! I adore anime with a passion; I'm always up for a good anime television spree, oh say, Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. I inhabit the state of Massachusetts in the US of A. Now, you're not so sure what to think of me, STILL, right? Well, if you ever came across me in a random crowd, you'd never know this was me. I'm extremely...DEATHLY quiet in front of people I'm not very friendly with; for example, acquaintances and passer-bys. I never know what to say! I only laugh and pray that no one discovers that I don't know what the hell's going on. ^^; Though, if it was true-role reversal with people I have a close relationship with, I act like a total bimbo and start shooting my mouth off; trust me on this one, I GET LOUD and become Miss Personality!

How Ya Lookin', Schweetie?
For my outward appearance, I am a brunette nowadays with my hair just passing the shoulders and no bangs. Sometimes I make it curly, and sometimes I just let it go flat. I am usually clad in clothes that look flattering on me. I couldn't care less if it was something some woman from the 1950's would wear; I personally don't give a rat's @ss! My wardrobe consists of a lot of...black. Everyone always complains to me that I wear too much black. Even one of my friends had asked me if "black makes you happy." Ha...ha. I wear a lot of bell-bottom denim jeans. Hip-huggers, if I may. Some belts. I like to add some jewelry here and there--I have to have my earrings in AT ALL TIMES when I leave the house; I might add the occasional necklace and bracelet. I nestle my feet in big, black, clunky platform shoes and you will hardly ever see me in sneakers 'cause I hate them! One of my guy friends had classified them as "army boots." ^_^ Oh, and a large shut up goes out to those who know the origin of "SKANK." You might wanna click here to see all the hype over my alter ego. It's a very funny Pokémon fanfic written by a friend of mine with the penname of Neongene.

What kind(s) of anime/manga do you prefer?
Actually, I'm not that picky. Anything by the illustrious Rumiko Takahashi is my kind of stuff, as you can see (Inu-Yasha, Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Mermaid's Scar, One Pound Gospel...). Hayao Miyazaki is fantastic, also. -- i.e.: Kiki's Delivery Service and the newest, Spirited Away. Kazuki Takahashi (I don't think he's related to Rumiko in any way; it might just be a common surname) and Satoshi Tajiri meet my needs if I need a dose of anime/manga to boost my moral. Kazuki being the creator of the ever-so-popular, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Satoshi being the creator of one of the most renowned series in Japanese animation history, Pokémon (Pocket Monsters). DON'T get me started on Sailormoon by Naoko Takeuchi. It is my favorite bishoujö anime. It's just so beautiful and has an excellent plot along with its three movies to top it all off. Other wonderful anime/manga series include: Cowboy Be-Bop, Yu Yu Hakusho, His and Her Circumstances, Hamtaro, Transformers Armada, Tenchi Muyo!, Oh! My Goddess, and Zoids. It's scary how I can just go on and on, lol! Check 'em out for moi! *_* Take note that His and Her Circumstances has now been dubbed into English and has been released in stores. Look for these titles in your local Sam Goody, Best Buy, or any electronics/music store near you!

Whatever Floats My Boat!
No prizes given for who can guess what kind of "animation" and "comics" I adore. I particularly like a lot of different ethnicities in foods; Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, some Middle-Eastern, and of course, American! I love to draw manga on my spare time and I'm very interested in creating characters or drawing the classic fanart (I have a passion for writing fanfiction, also). As you may have guessed, I am fascinated with Japan. I hope in the near future I get to speak the language (and read all those kanji, katagana, hiragana characters O_o;) so that I can take a trip to that amazing country someday. There's so much history in it. The incredible manga and anime series, Inu-Yasha, has opened up that world to me and I want to explore more of it. I might want to major in Japanese culture and language when I move on to college. You never know! Another thing that I'd like to relate to the anime is voice-acting. Watching anime for quite some years now has inspired me into doing voices and imitations, and dammit, I can do some pretty good imitations of anime characters!
I have some songs that I admire, also! I listen to whatever's playing on the radio. My two favorite stations are Kiss 108 FM and Jammin' 94.5 FM. There's a whole variety of what I like listening to--Pop, R&B, Rap/Hip-Hop and J-Pop, which is Japanese Pop music. Most of the J-Pop songs are from the anime series I watch on a day-to-day basis. I am a J-Pop freak, lol! I already burned so many freakin' CDs full of these songs and I can hardly tell what they're saying ['cause it's in Japanese, obviously]! Sure, I know a few phrases here and there, but, I listen to it because I've got the attraction to it. It'll definitely help you build your vocabulary if you want to speak the language [*sigh* like hopeless lil' ol' me!]. Try it sometime! ^_^
One of my greatest talents and hobbies is dancing and the performing arts. I've recently performed in the musical, Grease as one of the Pink Ladies, in Little Women as the eldest sister, Meg, also as Helena from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, AND as numerous anime/children's characters to entertain young ones from my local theatre group in Boston. I have also taken dance classes ever since I was four years old, and I'm still taking them today! I've competed against other dance schools and earned the school some honorable awards with my talented dance troops. =^-^=

Stick a Fork In It! I'm Done!
"The time has come," Sayuri said, "to talk of many things...but we just finished doing that now." ^___^ If there's anything else you are wanting to know about me THAT I CAN RELEASE TO THE PUBLIC, e-mail me, and I will be sure to put it up on here for you; heaven forbid I leave you in mystery and confusion! ^_~ Thanks for your time, everyone! And for those who just slid down the scrollbar faster than Happösai can rip girl-type Ranma's shirt off, I was talking about you the whole time. Go up and read where I dissed you on your ugly--
