Shitajiki, also refered to as pencil boards, are pieces of plastic or cardboard that were original intended to be put under a sheet of paper to make easier writing. Though now today they have morphed into a great collector's item. Shitajiki usually come with a picture on the front or both sides of just about any band, anime series, favorite character, or anything else prevalent in the Japanese culture. I've been collect shitajiki from my favorite anime series for a couple years now and I still haven't had enough. Its so much fun because of number of boards they have out there.
