Hey guys! Guess who?! XD LOL, yeah this is Luffy, your long lost site admin from Animesushi.net.tc (The Only Source for your Anime Hunger!) This message is LONG overdue. I will try not to be sappy in my last message, here goes.
I feel like I owe it to your guys to to explain everything (if you are REALLY bored enough to read ^^') - what has been going on for the past few months year with Oro-chan and I and why it took us so long to convey the message to you all.
Before having our site aburptly go down without our knowledge or consent and being completely erased from the internet, and before our search to find a new host for the website....we had actually been trying to figure out how to manage our offline lives with the growing anime and graphics website. We had been adding more features and things to serve anime fans and neopets members better and best - anime, games, TV news, videos, cosplay pics, reviews, e-cards, fan magazines, graphic layouts & resources and the list went on. We wanted it to keep growing but more content meant more updating and time...and we all started to find it difficult to keep up with both our school, family, and site. Our small hobby was suddenly taking alot of our time.
But I loved A.S. to death, I was dearly attached to it and I vehemently refused to let it go just like that after all the hard work we had put into making what it was. We had decided not to end it, but to let it stay on the net and update as often as we could to keep you guys happy and share our fandom with everyone whenever we got the time. And it was would have stayed there if something else hadn't happened.
Because fate began to design its own path for Anime Sushi, with or without us wanting it to.
Few weeks after our site went down because our host suddenly disappeared, Neopets (the site where Anime Sushi was initally based off from for our guild needs), decided to change their layout and coding rules. To anyone else, it was a great change; brand new look and more options. But for most graphic-resource websites providing layouts for users on Neopets (like ours), it was BAD. It meant ALL the layouts and graphics we had made could not be used in the new Neopets website -- everything was dysfunctional and had to be recoded from scratch.
So what happened? We got a bit discouraged. It delayed us more to come back because before we could, we had to re-code and re-design our 50 or so layouts. Otherwise, Anime Sushi was of no real use to anyone, to our great saddness. The main purpose of the site, and its major content, to provide you guys with layouts and graphics, was gone. So as time went on...we decided we must let it go...
Why it took us so long to say this was because...it always hard to say goodbye.
I want to apologize to all those that were waiting patiently (and losing patience) for us to come back.
We made so many good memories together... I had hoped that one day I would see it alive again on the internet, back to the good old days. But I guess that cannot happen now.
We already miss you ALL. No, seriously we do. Especially all the AWESOME Anime Sushi Guild members who were so active and nice to everyone ~ I want to sincerely apologize to them especially for not keeping in contact with you guys ... but the memories shall never be forgotten! Also to our WONDERFUL affiliates...they were the COOLEST people you could ever get to know. Not only did we love them, we learned from them. Please visit their websites below.
I also want to thank Wonka, Orangie, Tracy, Sherry, Manda and everyone else that used to email us with suggestions, requests, and appreciation. You guys rocked!
