Do you know the REAL agenda of the AR groups??

"Animal Rights"
:   These two words mean different things to many people.  Many years ago I thought I knew what it meant to me, but over the years with news reports and much research, I've learned I was wrong!  I became appalled by the Animal Activists and what they stood for.  I was
disgusted by their goals and their tactics to obtain those goals.  As I've talked to people about Animal Rights groups, I found that many, like me, didn't realize what these groups really stood for.

If you like, enjoy, love animals; keep a pet(s) or breed animals of any kind; eat or wear any kind of animal product; use any pharmacuetical product or are waiting for a cure to any illness (and heaven forbid if you need insulin!!), then I beg you to do even a little research and read up on Animal Rights groups and how they threaten to end all animal use!!  And yes, I mean ALL animal use!  If they succeed, you will NOT be able to keep a pet, eat an egg, have a leather wallet, or have that new medicine that needed to first have testing on an animal.

Don't get me wrong!  I love animals!!!  ADORE animals!  Always have!  So you might ask yourself why I would NOT want to support a group who is trying to stop slaughter and "slavery" and cruel testing in labs.  Frankly, I don't think all slaughter, "slavery" and testing are cruel.  I DO think there are some
facilities/breeders that need to be regulated, changed or shut down because abuse is happening, but I think this is the exception, not the rule!  There's a huge difference between Animal Rights and Animal WELFARE
I support Animal Welfare!!  AR organizations are hypocrites and do NOT care about animal welfare!

I'm sure many that read this think that this is blown out of proportion, that there's nothing to worry about---I mean, there's no way these groups can get all animal use taken from society....right??  Well, you just go on thinking that and ignore the warnings and see what happens.  They are winning the war one battle at a time.....don't believe me?  Just read on!

They get you to donate money to them saying it will go to helping the poor, abused animals....that with the money they will fight the battles that the animals can't fight themselves.  They show you pictures of tortured, neglected dogs and cats and slaughter houses that have deplorable conditions, and give you statics of the number of pets that are euthanized each year in shelters and that the poor, suffering dears need to be saved from the horrible humans--and you believe them!  They play on your emotions so you send them money.  You know what they do with that money?  They hire terrorists to blow up labs and burn down restaurants and cut pasture fences and open cages so those "captives" can be set free, only to be hit by vehicles on the highway or to get eaten by a predator.  They tamper with brakes on seafood delivery trucks and spray toxins on fisherman on their boats.....basically, terrorists.  They use the money to lobby to get laws passed forcing you to spay and neuter your pets, to force you to have breeding licenses, to ban certain breeds of dogs, to end the breeding practices of meat animals, to require that you have all your animals micro chipped so they can track you and your animal practices.  They use the money on advertisements, and pay celebrities to endorse their organization.  They even have facilities that look and sound like animal shelters, take in stray animals and then euthanize the majority of them!....they say that no-kill shelters don't work, beside it is more humane for the animals to be dead anyway then in prisons waiting to be adopted.  AR groups are working to, little by little, take away our rights to own and use animals.   Let's count the ways:
1. Mandatory Spay/Neuter
2. Breeder Licensing (destroys hobby breeder who produce some of the
best and well-socialized purebreds)
3. Kennel Licensing w/Privatized Inspections
4. Differential Licensing
5. Potential Dangerous Dog Laws (High Risk Animal Designation)
6. Breed Specific Legislation/ Registration
(higher licensing fees, mandatory insurance minimums, breed-banning,
mandatory muzzling, length and style of collars and leashes)
7. Anti-tethering and anti-crating Legislation
8. Pet Limit Laws
9. A parent-like 'Guardianship' Designation
10. Husbandry Limiting Laws (FLORIDA tried to make it where only a vet could
worm dogs!)
11. Animal Control attempting to force 'euthanasia' on owner's pets or be charged with criminal animal abuse for maintaining old age pets with 'naturally' failing health issues
12. Anti-Hunting Laws
13. Anti-Fighting Laws (actually used to legislate hunting, coursing, by
animal on animal being considered fighting)
14. Mandatory RFID "Chip" Micro-chipping
15. Pet Licensing Public Data Bases (The whole world can read all about
your pets and know where you live!)
16. Legislating Unreasonable Medical Care Responsibility
17. Mandatory Temperament Testing
18. Purely Positive Training Methods
[Criminalizing Training Devices (training collars) or methods that
include corrections
19. Containment Restrictions
(height and type of fences, size of property, kennels, crates)
20. Mandated Care Requirements
(dog must be walked 30 minutes each day)
21. Greater Police Powers by Animal Control Agencies to Enter Your
Property and Seize without warrants
22. Private Citizen/Agency Seizures ("BAD" Samaritian Laws)
(allowing a private citizen or agency to remove an animal from your
property that they consider at risk)
23. Size limits and 'pet quantity' limits when no dog problems of care and maintenance exist
24. Anti-Cropping/ Docking/De- clawing Legislation
(but yet they will carve out your dogs internal reproductive organs!)
25. Out-lawing "Deformed" Breeds (English Bulldogs, Basset Hounds, etc.)
26. Legislation based on faulty research studies -- correlation studies
rather than causative (Did you know all people who drink water die?
Therefore we need to stop drinking water!) Correlation is not Causation!
27. Some European Countries, it is illegal to have a dog pull you that is not a northern breed?
AND THE NEWEST TWO that make it illegal for Martha Stewart to own a dog:
28. Limited Ownership of Dogs by Convicted Felons
29. Defining dogs as Weapons and making it illegal to use a dog as a
"weapon" (so long home protection)
30. Mandatory Animal Reporting and Identification programs (local, city, state, and federal systems)
31. ALL Breed Anti-Pet Ordinances (first used in Alta, Utah, and now in Louisville, KY in a 100 page ordinance, controlled by essentially one man (director of Animal Control) over every citizen with a pet or animal).
32. National Animal Identification System (NAIS)

You might say.....but there are some great causes there, some that I could support!  You have to understand.....once they win on a few of the simple ones, then the others come along easier!!!  We can't let them win on anything!!!  ALSO, some sound logical and sound like they could help the cause of animal welfare;  the reality is that most do NOT help but make it worse, like horse slaughter.

The Internet is a wonderful place to find out more!  But many people don't have time to surf and read all the info that is out there.  So I hope that listing all the links below will help you in your quest to find out more!  I'm also hoping, with this web site, to accomplish a couple of things: a)  I hope that I can get people interested in this subject--to make them realize that Animal Rights groups are a real threat to us, the general public!;  b)  I hope the links on this site can help you more easily find information on Animal Rights as well and some good groups that are more geared toward Animal Welfare;  c)  and I hope that with this information, people will help educate other people about Animal Rights groups--even if they just simply pass on this web site to others so they can read and learn themselves.

Below I have links to many sites and articles.  I've grouped them in three groups:  "The Bad" (a place to find out more information on AR groups), "The Good" (sites that have good things....good organizations.  If you want to donate, these are the places to do that!), and "The Interesting".  Some sites are listed more than once because they have articles in different locations that I wanted to highlight.

If you just don't want to take the time to click on everything but want to help in some way to fight back, there's one VERY simple way to help:  DON'T DONATE MONEY TO ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUPS!!!!  If there is lack of support, they will die.  They can only live if the public donates to them!

Well, that's it.  I hope I've convinced you to learn more.  And I really hope you spread the word about these evil groups.  And IF you actually support what the Animal Rights groups believe, then so be it.  It's a free country and I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs.  But know, that I'm sure you are in the minority and I'll do my part to wake everyone else up so we can fight together to keep our rights to own and use animals.
