CN UK - November Premieres

Finally we got the dates for November, airing as early as the 2nd. Bad news (well, we don't really think it's bad) is that there are no UK exclusive episodes as of yet. So without further ado, here are the latest air dates for you to remember.

  • November 2nd: 7:30am & 6:00pm - Who's Minding the Ed / Pick an Ed

  • November 3rd: 7:30am & 6:00pm - Truth or Ed / This Won't Hurt an Ed

  • November 6th: 7:30am & 6:00pm - Tinker Ed / The Good, The Bad, and The Ed

  • November 7th: 7:30am & 6:00pm - Tween a Rock & an Ed Place / Tight End Ed

As usual with CN UK there will be many re-runs all through the month. There has also been a commercial for the new episodes, advertising that they begin on the 30th of October, however the schedule still states that they begin on the 24th so we're going to leave those dates there. Confused? Don't worry about missing them. Anyway, you can watch the clip on our new V-Ed-o clip  page. For those of you who remember the Season 2 promo for the UK, the one with that Ali G guy, it's basically a cheap redo of that.Enjoy!

Ed Edd n' Eddy the Movie

OFFICIAL AND CONFIRMED!

AKA Studios Producer, Danny Antonucci has recently attended a convention (Comicon) in San Diego as part of the panel for Cartoon Network for their press releases. Among the details released was the confirmation that an Ed Edd n' Eddy movie will be on it's way.
The sixth season will be replaced by two final episode, alongside the movie, which at this point there is no information about, only that it is years away from now. More information on that as we get it.

Toonzone has coverage of the Comicon and here is the information I got from that.
The movie (they're calling it a special) will be 90 minutes long and will be shown next year. They also say that there will be season 6 episodes so that will probably be a relief to you guys. These episodes are apparantly going to be set in winter.

Season 1 DVD artwork and features
According to TV Shows On DVD, the box art for the upcoming season release of the Eds has been revealed, along with extra features which include behind-the-scenes footage with animation and drawing tutorials. They also claim there are more, but with the set only being on 2 discs and cramming well over 4 hours worth of episodes on them, I doubt it'll be anything too massive. Look out for it in stores on October 10th.

New Eds toys for 2007?

Following a partnership deal between toy manufacturer Mattell and Cartoon Network, it has been announced that Mattell will be releasing a new line of Cartoon Network toys next year from their strongest running shows, which includes the Eds of course.

"We are pleased to be aligning the Cartoon Network brand with one of the world's largest and most respected toy companies, setting the stage for great success in the all important toy and games category," said David Levy, President of Turner Entertainment Sales and Marketing. "We've always had a very strong relationship with Mattel as an advertiser and now we are extending that into consumer products. This will enhance the brands of both companies by combining our assets as a leading entertainment company with their expertise in the global toy market."

"We're confident that combining Cartoon Network's strength in creating original, quality programming with Mattel's expertise in developing innovative products will engage kids in new ways," said Neil Friedman, President of Mattel Brands. "Byleveraging the Cartoon Network brand as well as their original content, we're opening up a whole new type of creative and licensing partnership."

Under the agreement, Mattel will have licensing rights to multiple toy and games categories including vehicles, action figures, playsets, role-play, board games, puzzles, and youth electronics items for the Cartoon Network brand as well as shows including Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, The Powerpuff Girls, Camp Lazlo, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, the newly launched My Gym Partner's a Monkey and The Life & Times of Juniper Lee. Existing relationships for other original series will remain unaffected by the deal.

In 2007, the first product lines to come to market under the agreement will be toys based on one of Cartoon Network's most successful series, the Emmy(R)-winning Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, created by Craig McCracken, the visionary behind The Powerpuff Girls. Products for Ed, Edd n Eddy, Camp Lazlo and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy will also debut in 2007.
