> survey of all surveys hehe, try niyo lang po. masaya to, pramis: click here. > happy holidays! woo hoo! merry christmas everyone! ^^, haha, ang lamiggg. aside from the scrumptious feasts we usually have for noche buena, what else do we look forward to every christmas eve? opening our gifts of course. :P (yak, ang korni ng intro.. hahaha). anyways, let me share what i received from my wonderful officemates.. :D [in no particular order, monetary value lang - JOkE!] * glow-in-the-dark puzzle set from ms. marge (btw, siya pinaka-maaga nagbigay ng gift.. and so let me present this award, the early bird award! haha) * naruto keychain from paz (with gamatatsu the little frog) - hehe, gamit ko na siya ngayon.. napalitan tuloy yung kakashi keychain ko * glass tumbler from jucyn, tapos may incription siya.. it reads "mad as a hatter, loopy as a lasso, full of jokes and fun, round the bend for hours on end, and simply number one!" astig. :) * glass soccer ball keychain from jo and angel, bag na lang ang kulang. joke! :P * mini-softball ball from ms. glen (hala.. =)) ) * neon green koosh ball na umiilaw-ilaw from rica.. sobrang naaaliw yung pamangkin ko, pati ako. haha. * pluto/ goofy mug from clarice. mukhang papalitan ko na rin yung current mug ko. * candies from ms. elaine (bench bytes green apple - talagang sinabi pa haha) * bluish doggy desk organizer from hazel, para sa cube. :D * wallflower from ms. elsa, akala ko nung una pacifier. hehe. * something from sir rocky. coaster set yata.. haha, sorry po wala kasi sa probinsiya nun. * egg che flan 1 from cris, tere, hazel and jucyn.. sarap! * egg che flan 2 from ms. rochie and company.. hehe, sarap ulit! * chocolate crinkles from sir santi - dami talaga food! * holy kettle corn from jenjen, cla s. and dar.. the best popcorn, pramis. * cookies and cream polvoron from sol.. food trip na ito. * cookies (pero walang cream) from ms. des and sir patrick.. haha, ang sarap din. :P * tapos yung sa exchange gift, naruto OST from chicco. kumpleto siya, 1-3 plus movie soundtrack. amazing. * latest addition: chicken little notebook from ms. ivy! hangkyut. there. thanks so much for all the gifts! :D > star for a week prologue +639189000186 ric, i just want to share my idea for the presentation. :) *hmm.. sino kaya to.. anyway..* ok, ano yun? :) sol: "oi ric hinahanap ka ni rocky.. wala bang tumatawag sa yo?" *hala, si sir rocky pala yun!* *5 messages received* +639189000186 my idea is this.. ok po sir! nice idea po. will inform the team. *message sent* ----- lord, bakit ba kasi ang kapal ng mukha ko? hahaha. last dec.22, our department (or group rather) christmas party took place. different teams were expected to give a presentation (it's a contest btw). for our team (SAQM-BMI), i was delegated as the "facilitator/ organizer" (for my regularization daw, di ko kinaya..). on top of that, the 2005 hires were also tasked to give a surprise number (yup, that includes me as well). and so the preparations took place.. practice sa umaga (7-8:30am, for new hires'), practice ulit at early lunch (kaya pala biglang nawawala sa office, hahaha), at practice ulit sa gabi (hanggang mga 9:30.. for team presentation naman). buti na lang naka-group namin si ms. ivy, nalaman ko tuloy kung paano magpa-reserve ng room. haha. at buti na lang delayed ang softPOS (hala). para akong binugbog, ang sakit ng katawan ko. ikaw ba naman magsayaw buong araw, pag-check lang ng email ang pahinga (hehe, exagg). pero ok lang, nakakatuwa rin makisalamuha sa mga tao. ang kukulit nila! ang daming ideas na kahit hindi na-implement, sumakit naman tiyan ko sa katatawa (Pinoy Big ADI raw.. wahaha). sa christmas party mismo, parehong naging successful yung presentation namin. nagustuhan ng lahat (assuming!). nanalo pa kami ng runner-up sa team presentation. nakahinga ako ate helen, mare-regular na raw ako. hahaha! ----- epilogue habang papauwi ay pinagnilayan ko ang mga pangyayari.. baka naman.. sa show biz talaga ako nararapat?! wahahaha. > jr. desk analyst maybe some of you were wondering what on earth a desk analyst is.. well, let me share the story behind that. "may tumawag sa yo, adrian ong daw (di tunay na pangalan). tungkol daw sa raffle dun sa megamall." ok, so i called up the person (akala ko nga nanalo ako or something, hehe). he told me to wait for a while, he'll just get my raffle stub. afterwards, he started to ask for information such as address, phone number, etc. (for verification daw kung ako talaga yung nasa ticket.) so i asked him, "after the 'verification', what's next?". he said that he has some "good news." ok.. "what's you job title?" "test analyst" "desk analyst?" "TEST analyst. t-e-s-t." haha, desk analyst daw o. anyways, in the end.. yung good news pala eh kasama raw ako sa grand draw. huwaaat? scam lang pala. > pahabol na anecdote.. my friends and i joined the annual "alay lakad" (held every maundy thursday), i was still in high school then. we were right outside the church, exhausted from the very long walk. i overheard two girls having a conversation.. girl 1: "saan tayo kakain? sa jollibee?" girl 2: "ayaw ko dun, pambata.. dun tayo sa mcdo, pang-guys." nakngtupa.. hindi ko alam kung anong gusto niyang palabasin. =)) > anecdotes, part 1. haha, i'm really excited for this entry. let me recount some funny experiences which i think are worth sharing. ^^, 1. i was riding an fx (going home from school), i was seated at the back. it was a family of 3: father, mother and a little boy. kid asks, "daddy, totoo ba yun? kapag kinagat ka ng spider magiging spider-man ka?" the father's retort was, "baket, kapag kinagat ka ba ng aso, magiging dog-man ka?" hirit pa siya, "o kaya, kapag rabbit - rabbit-man." hahaha, nakakatawa sila. 2. (initial note: i was still in 2nd or 3rd year college when this happened) i was at sta. lucia, and i decided to buy 2 slices of pizza at pizza hut. when i was counting my money, the woman at the counter said, "uy, bagong sweldo." huwaat? hahaha, sira ulo yun ah. 3. i was scheduled for an interview in SMART (i was applying for OJT that time). i proceeded to the front desk to deposit my ID and ask where the venue is. the girl receptionist mumbled something and said i can already enter without a visitor's pass. ok then, i just followed her directions. upon arriving at the floor (can't remember which one), there were lots of applicants already (who were in very casual clothes, i should note). i decided to take a seat. afterwards, a guy came in and told the people in the room to follow him outside. confused, i asked someone to check if i was indeed at the right floor. nope, i wasn't. so i went back to the front desk. turns out, she thought i was a model for some commercial they were shooting that day. hahaha, i completely understand the mistake. =)) > shock, awe. last night, while i was struggling with my christmas package (at least the canned goods, i wasn't able to carry the entire package) just outside the Tower - i heard a distinct crashing noise. so i looked across the street and saw a black pajero crashing right into a post. wow. and nobody seemed to care.. i mean, there are onlookers but no one approached the "scene." i wonder what happened to the passenger/s. oh well, life. *shrugs* > worst and best. earlier, i had my SEP (n. customer service orientation seminar). in an activity, we were asked to cite the best and worst experience we've had so far in SMART. the first thing that came to my mind was the BSI Strat Planning (for both cases).. i explained/ reported in front what happened (haha, pinilit lang ako - err, nagpapilit??), but of course i skipped most of the details - here i can give a more "exciting" (or so i think) account of that day.. it started out as an ordinary thursday. i was actually "excited" that day because 1) i was wearing a new polo shirt (hahaha) 2) i was looking forward to the workshop (the day before, i even did a little research on "the apprentice"). i left at 6:25am (my time - that's 6:05am SMART time) - little did i know that it was going to be one helluva day. ^^, i arrived at the FX terminal (a quick walk from my house), and joined the queue. after 15 minutes of waiting, finally i was able to ride a van (note: on ordinary days, usually you won't have to line up). on the way, while i was still in binangonan, the traffic was unusually slow. turns out, there was an accident in the area. later, the situation didn't get any better. in floodway, pasig (i don't know if the driver was really avoiding traffic, coz if he was.. he quite did the reverse) - the vehicle movement was frustratingly slower. i accepted the fact that there's nothing i can do about it and just tried to sleep. after 2 gruelling hours, i arrived at crossing (fast fact: travel time is usually 1 hour). i got on a bus (coz if i took the MRT, i'd have to walk 20 minutes from the station to the Tower). the driver made it a point to stop on every possible location and take in passengers. i looked at my watch (for the umpteenth time) and realized i wasn't going to make it by 8:30. i didn't feel that worried since the seminar will start at 9:00. the bus finally took a turn to Ayala Ave. then it stopped for a while near 6750. darn, the driver got caught - thought the passengers. some of them went down. it was already 9:00. run! out of breath, i raced to the Tower because we were instructed to log-in before going to the seminar. access entry granted, 9:07am. whoa. i was very late. wait, i didn't know where the venue is exactly. i expected that i'll arrive before 8:30, so i thought i'll be able to join the others. well that didn't happen obviously. i considered going to the 30th floor to check my mail, but that would take some time. from what i read in the e-mail the day before, the venue is called "ayala life building". i got out of the tower and looked around. across the street, i saw one building. i went there and asked if there's any SMART seminar going on. what a brilliant move. haha, i mean look at the building (the old ayala bldg). of course it wasn't the venue. after that incident, i realized i should call someone for directions. but as always, i have no load (haha). so i went to the wireless center to get e-load. to continue the series of unfortunate events, they didn't have change for a P500 bill. fine. i went out of the wireless center, still loadless. i proceeded to the 30th floor to make the call there instead. after i got out of the elevator, ms. ivy saw me and asked what i was doing there - since i was supposed to be at the seminar. i said i got lost (haha, how embarassing). so she gave me instructions, which i appreciated greatly. i checked my phone and read jucyn's message "ei san ka na?". i went to sol's cubicle and called her. "nawawala ako", i said. exasperated, i just got down and made my way to ayala life FGU. along the way (i was cursing silently), i even saw a former classmate of mine. i just said "may seminar kami ngayon eh, super late na ko" (quite friendly huh?). i hurried to the FGU bldg and rode the elevator. hurray, i reached the 10th floor (the wrong floor, btw). so i took the elevator again and finally reached the executive dining hall. and the rest is history. true. the workshop (the Apprentice-inspired BSI Strat Planning) was very demanding and we all got pressured (i got only 2 hours sleep the night before the presentation) - but in the end it was all worth it. we were able to come up with a very good report and everybody learned much from the experience. that's what counts. now, i really could care less what happened that thursday morning. but i thought it would make one long blog entry. :P > testing complete. haha. akalain mo. finally, i'm able to deploy my blog. woo hoo! na-pressure kasi ako kay ms. rochie eh, tagal ko raw mag-test. hehe. thanks ms. rochie! :P tsaka salamat din kay jucyn for coercing me to start a blog (hala, joke!!), tin for linking my (then) unfinished blog.. direk, mga fans, kay mr. m, star magic, ma'am charo - salamat po! =)) tsaka sa nescafe ice, the best! *chugs down what's remaining in the shaker* copyright 2006, ric. all rights reserved.
