聖闘士星矢, Seinto Seiya^?), also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a manga and anime series created by Masami Kurumada. The story is about a group of five mystical warriors called the "Saints" (or "Knights") who have adopted various constellations as their guardian symbols. The anime series won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1987.

(聖闘士星矢EPISODE.G, Seinto Seiya Episōdo Jī^?) is an ongoing manga published in the Champion Red magazine since December 2002. It is a derivative work of the original Saint Seiya manga, which was created, written and illustrated by renowned mangaka Masami Kurumada. Episode.G is set 7 years before the events at the beginning of the original Saint Seiya Manga, and 6 years after the death of the Gold Saint Sagittarius Aioros. Unlike the original series it is written and illustrated by Megumu Okada. As Kurumada only supervises it, its status as canon or not is unknown.

(聖闘士星矢 THE LOST CANVAS 冥王神話, Seinto Seiya Za Rosuto Kyanbasu: Meiō Shinwa^?) is an ongoing manga by Japanese author Shiori Teshirogi, a derivative work based on the famous manga, Saint Seiya, which was created, written and illustrated by Japanese author Masami Kurumada. It has been published by Akita Shoten in the Shōnen Champion magazine since August 24, 2006 and currently nine tankōbon have been released. The story takes place in the same time period as Saint Seiya Next Dimension by Kurumada. As a work only supervised by Masami Kurumada, its status as canon is unknown.

This year's 53rd issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine will announce on Thursday that Masami Kurumada and Shiori Teshirogi's Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa manga has an original video anime version green-lit for next spring.^[1]
