Her life began – or so she thought – when she washed up on the shores of Luminii without possessions, save for a simple pendant about her neck which read 'Remembrance.' Having no memory either, she took Remembrance as her name, and became known as Remy. Time and circumstance brought her from Luminii to Shadokhan, where she took up residence in Dreven. In time, she discovered she had skill with sewing, and this became her means of making a living.

Though she did well in this new life, her lack of memory haunted her. More worrisome still was the discovery of a curious ability to see spirits in the world around her, spirits that no one else seemed aware of. They spoke to her, and she to them. And soon she began to fear this ability was somehow connected to her forgotten past.

It was a chance meeting with a man named Jean Claude which changed everything. A reclusive man with strange yet powerful abilities, he recognized Angelique for what she was. Witchcraft, he called her skill. He reached out to her, offering to teach her what she needed to know of the gift she possessed. Enthralled, Angelique accepted.

At a villa in Luminii, Jean Claude kept his word. Her ability to communicate with and manipulate the spirit world wasn’t insanity or illusion. It was a form of magic and a craft which she could hone. But more than this, Jean Claude helped her regain the memories which had long been masked by fear and trauma.

In Luminii, Angelique grew in her abilities. But she also grew restless. The lovely villa began to feel like a prison. Jean Claude was around less and less, and when he was his eccentricities grew frightening. One night, Angelique impulsively stole a few things from the man and fled, making her way back to Dreven.

In Dreven, life began to come together for Angelique at last. At peace with the strange magical gift she possessed, she began to turn her attention to work as a seamstress. Soon she was able to purchase a small shop on Wilder Avenue, named Angelique’s Fine Clothing.

Angelique found love, too, in the most unexpected of places with a man called Havoc. Dhamiyata Sadani was his real name, and though some might have thought them an unlikely pair, they found something in each other and were soon inseparable. When they married, Angelique found herself a part of a large family, the like of which she’d never experienced before.

But the past is never entirely left behind, and loose threads still remain. The remnants of Angelique’s family back in Damansque have made some questionable choices and alliances, and the trouble that has found them might one day affect Angelique as well. Even Angelique’s own choices still haunt her. Powerful though her magic is, its practice is not without risk. And betraying a powerful mage like Jean Claude may well have consequences, too...
