African Lion

The African lion is one of the most powerful mammals in it's own territory. Males weigh 330 to 550 pounds, and females are about 265 to 395 pounds. With a length of 5 to 8 feet. They are usually Blond or Black covered by very thick hair. These big cats live in grass lands semi arid plains. They hunt for antelope and other animals in high grass areas. Did you know that the lioness geos out to get the food and the comes back and the male lion gets frist pick athe the lioness as the young cubs search for scraps. The young cubs are born alive and have grayish spot which would soon go away after a couple of weeks. There are usually only one cub is born there can be some occasions there can be more than one.



African Elephant

This is an African Elephant. It weighs 7000 to 14000 pounds. They are usually 10 to 13 ft in length. African Elephants are gray or a very light brown when in the sun. They have a ivory tusk and a trunk which are to or there most important features and is used to protect themselves from other predetors. No animal would want to come by these huge mammals when there in there herd. The herd comes in handy in many different ways one is so that there grayish spotted babys(males bull females cows)Which are like small elephants, are around they are able to keep them from harm. They usually have one to two. And also they never get lonley! These herbivores are found in the forest,grassland, marshes, scrub, and semi desert areas. They pull out grass from the ground by their trunk to get there food.



Mammals

All Mammals have hairs some time in there life and have specialized teeth for what they consume. Also all mammals produce milk to give to their young. Females have a motherly instinct that when they have a baby the body knows to produce milk and take care of their young!
