WELCOME TO ANGEL COVE
HOME OF THE PRAYER ANGELS
This site is dedicated to the memory of my father, Floyd (75), aka Pop, and my niece Mylia (30), both of whom passed away 13 days apart in June and July of 2006 respectively. Mylia was devastated at the loss of her "Pop". When she passed away she was buried next to her "Pop and Granny B". They now watch over each other and all those around them. They are our Guardian Angels.
We lost my dad to a massive heart attack on June 22, 2006. The saving grace of the heart attack was that he would not have to suffer through the agony that he would be going through soon with his cancer. In January 2006 he was admitted to the Mexia Hospital with what they thought was just a case of pneaumonia. Then they found thecancer in his lung, but knew it had started somewhere else. Finally by May of 2006 they knew it had started in his T3 and T4 vertibrae and had spread. The doctors told us that once the cancer was in the bones like it was with Pop there would be a tremendous amount of pain. He stayed strong until the end and lived life the way he wanted: at home, taking care of himself and being independent until Fathers Day on June 18. That was the beginning of the end for him to be here with us but a new beginning with him being back with his beloved Barbara, parents and brothers and sisters.
Our sweet Mylia had suffered from childhood diabetes since she was about 3 years old. She had suffered a heart attack at 15, loss of a kidney at 25 (on her birthday), kidney and pancreas transplant, rejection of the pancreas, amputation and more. She had the best and sweetest personality of anyone I know (not just because she was my niece). Like her mother, Debbie, said: "Mylia always forgave everyone and no matter what they had or didn't have she was there for you. She never judged anyone for anything they did." I believe with all my heart that Mylia knew her time was coming. She was hit hard by my dad's death and I believe the pains she was having in her stomach were made worse by the stress. The doctors thought she might have an ulcer. On the night she passed away she refused to go to the hospital. Hours later our sweet girl was gone. She died from the result of internal bleeding from a ruptured intestine. On July 5, 2006 Heaven received a sweet spirit and she was able to rejoin her Pop and Granny B and little nephew Jacoby Lynn Hatley who passed away at the age of 6 months in August of 2003.

About this site:
I started this site because I was sending out newsletters to our Angel Cove Prayer Group and they were becoming quite large. I felt this was an easier way to reach more people and at the same time have more prayer warriors working on behalf of others. Prayers are important and they do work. You may not get the answer you expect or wanted but if you look deep inside yourself you will find that the answer WAS exactly the answer needed at the time. God knows what we need more than we do. We may not understand it, we may not like it sometimes, but if we turn ourselves over to Him and accept His will for us we will be much happier and can do more for others. So many today forget that without God we are nothing and have nothing. We cannot walk this earth alone and expect to find a rainbow at the end. We have to have the guiding hand of our Lord and Savior to bring out the true beauty of life. It is not the earthly possessions that we should treasure but the power of His love and His healing spirit.

This site will allow others to send in prayer requests, blessing requests, bereavement notices, church news, photos and stories they would like to share.
We take pride in honoring our men and women who have bravely put on a uniform to protect our rights here in America and to fight for our continued freedom. We have the "Soldiers World" that we will list a soldiers need/request, the "Military Corner" photo album for those you want honored and prayers said for, "The Home of The Brave" album is for the injured soldiers and the "Military Memorial" album honors the military men and women who died while serving their country and the "Law & FF Memorial" album honors our law enforcement officers and fire fighters.
Our "In Memory" album remembers those who have died during the year. The photos run from December through November and rotate out to start a new year in December.
Our other albums include "Faces of Prayer" "Children's Corner" an album dedicated to the children who need our prayers, "Children's Memorial" which runs the same as the "In Memory" album. We also have albums for "Baby Blessings" and "Engagement/Wedding Blessings".
To view individual photos in the albums just click on the photo and it will come to the forefront and you can read a little about the person shown. You may also leave a comment, message for the family or prayer.
We also welcome stories inspired by others. If you have a story about someone you would like to share and would like us to honor that person please send in their story and photos and we will post it (stories stay up for 2-3 weeks).
Sit back and relax and enjoy our "Reading and Prayer" page. Here you will find scriptures, meditation reading, prayers and inspirational sayings/writings/quotes.
Right now our Angel Cove Prayer Group has members in 14 states, Canada and Wales. We have already seen a lot of prayers answered and are very thankful. We want you to be able to come here and feel welcomed and needed. We need you just as much as you need us. Come as often as you like and be part of an amazing group of people who believe in the word of God. And like you we have all been to a place in our lives when we have truly needed others to pray for us and have our prayers answered.

What we want for you:
We want you to find comfort in the words and prayers we share. We want you to know you are not alone and there are many others that come here who enjoy sharing prayers, scriptures and genuine concern for others. Submit a prayer request and know that you will have many prayers said for you. No one should be alone, afraid or feel they are not worthy of having others pray for them. We are all the same in God's eyes. We are all his children.

What this site does not do:
We do not advocate one religion over another so please do not ask us to. We believe in Christianity and Christ our Lord. You are the only one who can choose which faith will best serve you and your families needs. We are here only to give comfort, say a blessing and prayer, honor our soldiers, new life, new futures and those who passed away. We do not want anyone to feel they cannot find a friend here. We will not turn our back on you and ignore your prayer needs, your need to share your story, testimonial or memory of a loved one. We do not turn our backs on non-believers (agnostic or other) as we hope that maybe something here or someone's story will lead them to accept Christ into their lives.
May God Bless You Today, Tomorrow and Always~
Pam
