Well, I've done a fair bit in the last month I can tell you.
I've started editing and re-writing the fourth and final draft of what is now titled 'I'm Rivelino - A life of two halves' before sending it out to my readers and contacting those publishers that don't yet know about it (some smaller regional ones got a 'heads up' and may just be interested...).
'Special' my second crime fiction novel is also with a number of independent publishers at present and I should start hearing from them about that soon - fingers crossed eh.
Now then - back to work...
The first draft of 'Magpie Ranger' is now finished (woohoo!!) and I'm starting the first major edit/rewrite - I'm also thinking of changing the title (it never rains...) and will be sending copies out to my readers soon before beginning the soul destroying but very exciting process of contacting publishers.
Onward and upward.
Just to let you all know I've added a new bit to Magpie Ranger entitled 'Clone Island' - it's going to be the introduction to the book.
I'd like to extend a big thanks to my brother, Darrell 'On the March' Rivers for his help with this one.

I'm now back from my American trip (great country) and ready to begin work in earnest on finishing 'Magpie Ranger' no news as yet on my other projects but I'm always hopeful.
I've garnered some new readers (lots actually) since Freewebs put me on their title page so a big HELLO to those of you I haven't spoke to already and, if anyone's interested, I'm also on Facebook these days - look for 'Andy Rivers' and I'm in the newcastle (UK) network. I'm always willing to talk about writing, books, music, big fat publishing contracts etc.

HAPPY NEW YEAR...
In a magnificent feat of techno-wizardry I've added ratings and comment boxes to all of my short stories and extracts - now you can all tell me exactly what you think - go on have a go.
Also, I was informed by Freewebs before Christmas that they'd be using my effort as one of their examples sites and I could expect a lot more traffic in January so welcome to all of my new readers and make sure you spread the word...and the link!!
Spoken to another publisher about 'Magpie Ranger' and am hopeful about this one so we'll see what happens.
I've removed 'The last Match' from my work in progress section as I'm going to be writing my latest fiction novel 'Chasing Cars' concurrently with 'Magpie Ranger' and wanted to post a rough sample - Victoria's Secret

not much to report, other than I've had a couple of publishers semi interested in 'Magpie Ranger', hopefully that'll firm up soon (see what I did there - fnarr fnarr).
In the meantime I've added 'The Last Match' to my 'Work in progress' section. This was my first ever published work and forms an integral part of my memoirs.

The synopsis to my work in progress 'Magpie Ranger - A life in Black and White' is with a couple of publishers currently so I'll let you know how that goes and I'm about to start contacting people with a view to publishing 'Special'.
