For the past three years or so I have been under the impression that Anderson had given away his Welsh Springer spaniel, Molly, to a friend because he had been traveling too often to take care of her properly; but today, September 11, 2008, I received this message in the MySouthEnd web site (South End as in Boston, MA.) in a Google Alert:

Jeff, yes, Anderson Cooper is a dog guy. He has a four-year-old Welsh Springer spaniel named Molly. Because he travels so much, he shares care with friends. But when the anchor is in New York, Cooper is Molly’s main man. Recently Cooper told Dog Lady (who gets around) that the springer is "a human dog. " He described how Molly sits outside the bathroom waiting for him to get out of the shower. And who wouldn’t?
