Our mares are all carefully selected for their individual qualities and for their compatability to our stallion 'Anawa Mahuska'. We aim for the combination of sire and dam to produce all that we strive for - temperament and trainability, versatility and athletisicm, conformation and movement. Our mare care is second to none and they are each part of our 'family'. Where possible our mares are, or will be proven under saddle with performance histories themselves. Most are ridden regulary and all are well handled.

'Mikky' has had little work under saddle due to an old injury but shows
willingness and trainability. She is a truly lovely mare to have around, and a great broodmare of excellent type with a big ground covering movement true to her sire line. She is a pleasure to handle and to admire in every way. Her bloodlines are well sought after and the cross to Anawa has proven very successful. Mikky will be our choice as the potential dam of an Anawa colt if we choose to keep one, and will be the recipient of the cherished frozen semen we have stored.

A proven all rounder, Lucy competed in Eventing including Grade 1 (105cm) Pony Club Trials; Show Jumped up to 115cm and completed the State Pony Club Grade A Show Jumping Championships; was successful at Dressage and in the Show and Hack rings; and was always a part of the Pony Club scene, trail riding and Games. She is an exciting, exotic looking mare, and her performances enhance her quality breeding.

'Jewel' has been a wonderful all-rounder for her junior rider, until she was sadly outgrown. A true 'Pony Clubber', she has successfully competed in grade 3 (80cm) Eventing; Show Jumped at 85cm; been dominant in both the Show Ring and in Dressage; and participated in Games and Polocrosse. Jewel is gorgeous, she rides like a big horse, and her movement is exceptional.
Jewel has been a much loved and campaigned member of the Hall family and her successes are a credit to them, we thank them for the opportunity to add such a quality mare to our herd and look forward to breeding some very talented Pony Club mounts.

'Max' has had a lot of Pony Club experience, has competed in Games, Eventing and Showjumping, has been shown in hand and used for trail riding. She is very bold and forward with an unbelievable jump! Max's purchase was prompted initially by several requests for us to produce some galloway size Anawa babies - with the first on the ground we are looking forward to breeding some 'big' horses in smaller bodies!

'Tizzy' is a 4yo filly who advocates all that we breed for - which is why we purchased her from her breeder! She has had great success from limited outings in the show ring (both led and ridden), with four annual high point awards and a Roll of Merit, already to her name. She is going nicely under saddle and in harness, and has been eventing and showjumping at low levels this season. With wins at her very first three ODE's, she is already proving the ability of her pedigree!!!

'Casper' is a most unusual 5yo filly with an amazing performance pedigree and a very gentle nature.
We have high hopes for her both as a performance horse herself and as a future brood mare. She joined our Eventing and Showjumping team late last season after only recently being started under saddle. She has a natural jumping ability and with some more education on the flat we aim to see her fulfill her potential. We were all surprised when she received High Point Intro to Prelim Eventing Horse of the Year for her first season!!

'Abbey' is a wonderful and successfull all round mare having experience with me in hunting (as whip and drag horse), dressage, eventing, showjumping, endurance, showing, gymkhanas, pleasure riding, cattle work and has her PNH Level 1 Certificate! Her foals have shown all the qualities that make her so 'special'. As a first brood mare, and a great friend since her purchace in Qld in 1996, Abbey will always have a special place in my heart.
Abbey has been leased to her son Catori's new owner Kristine, so she too can enjoy her qualities until he is old enough to take over from Mum, we wish them all a great time together.
