Something about us
Anavil Mitra Mandal was established as Charitable Trust under Public Charitable Trust laws in 1977..
We have been carrying out many activities in the interest of people in general, and Anavils of Ahmedabad in particular, since starting and are increasing/expanding as the years pass by...
These activities include :
* Scholarships and Interest Free Loans to students
* Book Bank for students who cannot afford costly study books for higher education.
* Felicitating and awarding bright students
* Medical and Financial aid to needy persons
* Health check-up camps, blood donation programmes, healthy baby competition, health related talks etc.
* Senior Citizens wing
* Talent search and providing them platform for display of their talent
* Womens wing
* Regular cultural events, Samooh Janoi (thread ceremony in group) youth meet with a view to find suitable life partners, publication of books of social interest, publication of monthly magazine SADBHAV to highlight the activities,
.... and many other activities as the time demands and resources permit...
Donations are exempt
To meet the financial requirements for carrying out above activities, our main source of income is by way of donations generously offered by the people (we are proud to say that no activity had to be put off for financial reasons), and continue doing so.
Our accounts are timely prepared, audited by chartered accountants and published every year.
We are happy to say that the
donations to our Trust, Anavil Mitra Mandal, Ahmedabad, are exempted from Income Tax under section 80G(5) which is valid upto 31st March, 2007.
