Welcome to my website. This is a reflection on all the work I've been doing this year at International Studies Academy in Mr. Elizalde's class.

Introduction

My name is Anastasia Bogdanova. I was born in Russia and I’ve lived there until October 2007. I enjoy studying; I learn best when it’s quiet and my desk is organized; however, I can grasp material even when I’m distracted. I enjoy doing work neatly. This also helps me learn and recall information quickly. I enjoy my English class, especially writing: I feel that it’s more than just schoolwork, it’s also creativity and imagination. I have read a lot of international books; many of them were about everyday problems, but the ones I remember best were about historical occurrences and their impact on modern life.
I think that the most profound knowledge I have gained was to speak English. My parents have worked in the USA before for several years and I went to the first grades of elementary school here. At first, it was challenging because I knew only a few basic words and couldn’t understand what the teacher or students were saying; it took a lot of work, but I could speak properly by the end of second grade. I feel that this accomplishment has influenced my life.
Studying has taught me to value my free time; I enjoy going for walks with my family, especially if the surrounding nature is beautiful. I also like doing everything a teen likes to do – shopping, spending time with friends and so on. But I always make sure this doesn’t cause problems with studies.
