Housing: This small 1 inch frog should be housed in a medium sized pen-pal reptile house or a 5 gallon aquarium, although larger quarters if breeding is wished (20 gallon) . Use soil as a substrate with a few small plants inside. You should mist every two days to keep it nice and moist inside.
Eating: Feed this speicies pinhead crickets. I have never found baby spring peepers so I have never had to feed them but I would guess that they eat ants or aphids.
Hibernation: Yes this species does require hibernation to breed but if kept only as a pet it is not needed.
Breeding: After being taken out of hibernation mist luke warm water in the terrarium to simulate spring rains this should trigger singing and a large bin of water should be placed in the terrarium. Once you are sure that they have laid eggs you can remove the bin and place it on a shelf without drafts or anything. When the eggs hatch and the tadpoles are free swimming you can place them in an aquarium and fish food should be sprinkled on the water surface every day to promote algae growth (algae is the main tadpole food).
Albinos: Unknown but if you encounter one then let me know.
Last Thoughts: Unless you plan to breed this speicies there is nothing to worry about. Plus the only problem with this is the loud and consistent peeping.
