Parenting Program at Amparo High School
LAST Year, Amparo High School launched a program managed by the Population Education Club purposely to give counseling to female students who got pregnant during their high school days. It was a program meant to rescue early pregnancy victims from the perception of hopelessness and resignation in life. At the same time, it was a way of knowing, thereby helping resolve, the causes of such moral mistake and youth misdirection.
After the program, our PopEd teachers found out that, generally, such sad cases happened because the students have problems with their parents.
We also launced last year that we dubbed "AIM Tungo sa Kinabukasan" the acronym AIM being to mean "Ako, Ikaw, Tayo'y Makabalikat." Through this program, we wanted to closely monitor students' scholastic conduct and lessen the incidence of dropouts, failures, absenteeism, and other related problems.
