Alright, you have read all about "paid to" programs, you may have gone on to read about MLMs (multi-level marketing) and you might even have looked into Marketing E-books that swamp the internet. You may have even picked out a few and depending on what you chose, getting a very stuffed inbox.

You may want to get a separate *email* just for your programs and for *Safelists* (list of who wants to receive your emails)

Getting like minded people to not only look at your program or page but to sign-up under you

While its a little more complicated then just dropping off an ad and a check to the local newspaper it is just as easy once you armed with information. An overall term for these programs that bring others to your sites are called *traffic exchanges* they also are called manual and auto surfers.

The only real difference is if they are manual you have to click a button of some kind to surf the pages and in auto it does it itself but you still have to watch. Almost all have a free membership and multiple upgrade levels that give you a little more for your money. For every traffic exchange you have different setups, a 1:1 ratio up to 1:5 ratio for viewing pages and getting your pages seen.

You want as close to 1:1 as you can get if not more unless they are offering another sweet deal as well. Your the only one who make that choice. There are also limited and unlimited exchanges and that means it exactly what it says You will ether have a max number of pages you can view (a max number of views for your page) or unlimited you can click to your hearts content or you feel you have enough viewing credits until the next time you surf.

*Free Upgrades*

Some sites will give you a free upgrade. This is a small upgrade, usually the sites lowest. Most  include a limited number of ads per month. Though some offer different options.

Upgrades are usually only good until a site reaches a set number of members. Some run for 6-12 months sometimes even lifetime. A fair number of them also allow you to buy a paid upgrade with your points. If the site has them.

They can give really good bonuses even if it seems to be small. Most 1st and 2nd level upgrades are $2.50 to $10.00.The higher the upgrade the more it costs. I have taken payouts and turned them in to get a higher level upgrade. Again each site is going to be different. Some people may not like points as they produce minimal conversion to cash.But most sites give small ads for points or an upgrade. 

If you don't need your payout Upgrade. You get cheaper payouts, use of PTP, more  monthly ads and also other little treats depending on the site.

*PTP or Paid To Promote Sites*

These are special links that you can find with your referral area. By advertising this link you get credit every time someone looks at this page.

The pay for views varies but it ranges from  "X" credits or "X" money/1000 hits. A lot of sites require that you be an upgraded member to make use of this feature. Some will just give you credits if your not.

Almost all sites require activity to keep from being deleted but sites with PTP tend to ask for a bit more activity (between 25 and 100 clicks a month) to have access to the PTP option .

With some sites this can be pretty good money. Always check the "sites allowed" and "sites banned" lists. So you know which sites you can advertise whether your posting regular ads or PTP.  Also check the terms to find out the ways your are allowed to advertise your members link or other promotional options.

PTC= Paid To Click- The majority of these sites you will click banners on the site itself you may get a few emails but not many.

  This can be anywhere from 50 credits to 100 or so per 1000 The ones that actually pay you cash go from about $.35 to  $.75/1000

PPA=Paid Per Action- This is where you get paid to do things like filling out surveys, reviewing sites or signing up for trial offers.

CTR=Click Threw Ratio- How many people actually click on your link and hopefully go threw and interact with your site.
