Firstly, thanks for looking
Every Year The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) requests that ordinary families come together to walk 'A Mile in Memory' of a loved one lost to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
This years walk is planned for Saturday 16th May and there are walks taking place all over the country so if the Barnsley walk is too far for you to come, please look here to see if there any walks planned near you. If there are no walks how about organising your own!!!!
This is a national event and hundreds of beareaved families will walk 'together' at 11am in one common goal, to raise funds for FSID.
Cot Death or Sudden Infant Death is still the UK's biggest killer of babies over one month old. We need your support to stop this. The funds raised through the walks will help to fund vital research into the causes and prevention of cot death; support bereaved families who have gone through the agony of losing a baby and promote our safe infant care advice which helps reduce the risk of cot death.
As a family who have suffered at the hands of this silent killer we are passionate about raising as much as we can for FSID to help fund research into why this happens and to support families like ours through a difficult time in their lives. Alexanders Story is here if you wish to read it.
Why God Takes The Little Ones
Why God takes the little ones
I swear I'll never know
You had so much life to give
It just wasn't time to go
For comfort, now, I think of you
With tiny little wings
Up above, in a beautiful place
Listening to angels sing
You'll never know the pain I feel
The hurt you left behind
What I wouldn't give to hold you one more time
I carried you in my womb
The I carried you in my arms
And now until it no longer beats
I'll carry you in my heart.
