Green Jacket Invitational

Welcome to The 2009 Green Jacket Points Series

I have come up with a very cool point series.  There is NO cost to be affiliated with the series. There is NO extra work on your end(TD). There is NO extra cost to the player to compete during the season. I will do all the tracking through tournament results and a spreadsheet. 
I think this is another very exciting way courses and states can join together.
Green Jacket Points Series (GPS) is the title. And how the series works is like this:
The top 15 finishers in each of the series divisions get points.

    1st-15points                6th-10points         11th-5points
    2nd-14points               7th-9points           12th-4points
    3rd-13points                8th-8points           13th-3points
    4th-12points                9th-7points           14th-2points
    5th-11points               10th-6point            15th-1point

-Any ties get equal points
-Previous Green Jacket winners will receive invitations.
-The previous years winner will have the amount of last years cost waived.
-Points may not be shared between divisions. You get points for the division you participated in at that event.
-Divisions need to have at least 5 qualified golfers by the end of the year in order to compete for finals.
-Definite divisions- Grand Masters, Pro Men, Pro Masters, AM Master, AM1 , AM2 and Woman. For the 2nd season we will combine Womans Advanced and Pro in one division.

You don't need to be a member of ANY organization to obtain points. And if you finish the season in the top 30 then you will receive a personal invitation to attend The Green Jacket Invitational on November 7, 2009. The location of the event will be held at Amesbury Pines located in  Amesbury, Massachusetts
Over the past few years at our tournament we implemented the awarding of "the green jacket" and it has really began to build into something special. So, now  I have separated the APO and gave the Green Jacket it's own event.
