Link: Okay, he's the kid in green that saves the land every time! I know, I know, why is it called the Legend of Zelda if the hero is Link? Well, I don't know....but oh well! In the earlier games and in the cartoon he had brown hair and eyes, but recently he's taken on the blond-haired-blue-eyed babe look. He holds the Triforce of Courage in his heart....*sniffle* sounds so romantic...
Zelda: She is the princess of the land who somehow always finds a way to get kidnapped by Ganon! Even in Ocarina of Time she eventually does after spending seven years in hidding and dressing up as a Sheikah male. For someone who holds the Triforce of Wisdom, she's not that smart. Her hair used to be brown too, but like Link, she's crossed over to the blond-hair blue-eyes.
Ganondorf Dragmire: he's the ultimate bad guy in the Zelda series. Looks somewhat like a giant pig...Ah yes, the animated series...who could forget them?...Alright, went off topic. In OoT his origins were presented to us. He's the king of the Gerudo (a desert dwelling race) simply because he's a male (they're rare; only one every 100 years). In Wind Waker he kept his dark skin and told us how much he hated living in the desert because of the constant sandstorms. He's the guy who's trying to take over Hyrule by killing Link and Zelda and getting their Triforces. He already owns the Triforce of Power in his corrupt heart. As long as it is in his possession, he cannot be destroyed and will forever continue to try to eliminate Link and Zelda's descendants.
Malon: She's the red-headed ranch girl in Ocarina of Time. She actually makes me mad, to tell the truth. Always in such a good mood....bah! Anyway, she's a sweet girl who cares for nothing more than the well-being of her beloved animals. It's also rumored that she's waiting for a knight to swipe her off her feet...
Talon: malons father and the lazy good-for-nothing owner of Lon Lon Ranch. He really reminds me of Mario. Hey, he wears the red and purple clothes, has the mustasch and big nose and everything! Of course, where's Mario without Luigi?....
Ingo: here's Luigi! he wears green overalls and a white shirt, has the mustasch and is tall. I wonder who Malon is then...oh well. This is the hard-working man at the ranch. Well, at least he was in Link's childhood. Then of course he got power, got too cocky, lost Epona in a race, than spent the rest of his days as a drunk greeting people who came to the ranch. The moral of this story is that work gets you no-where and being drunk makes you happy, I guess.
Impa: Well, there have been several different Impas in the history of Zelda. In OoT she's Zelda's nursemaid and protector, and the Sage of Shadow, I guess. In other games she's a kindly old plump woman who lives at the castle as Zelda's nursemaid and such....well, oh well. It's about the same thing, I guess. She takes care of Zelda because the queen's dead...I think.
Ruto: She's the princess of the Zoras and the Sage of Water. Not to mention she's a spoiled brat with a huge crush on Link. But she'll never have him because he's meant to be with Zelda, and besides, she's a giant fish! She's kinda creepy too, because she doesn't wear any clothing. A town's named after her in The Adventure of Link (all the sages except Impa and Zelda have towns named after them, and they don't because their names keep poping up as characters)
Darunia: He's the king of the rock eating Gorons and Sage of Fire in OoT. Link became his sworn brother after he defeated the evil Dodongo's in the cavern, allowing the Goron morons to get their grubby paws on their delicious rocks again.
Saria: She's Link's best childhood friend. Actually, she was the only Kokiri that didn't pick on him...I think. It's rumored that she has a crush on Link. This is backed up by what Mido says in OoT after defeating the Forest Temple, that Saria really liked....Anyway, she's the Sage of Forest and as a Kokiri, she will never look a day past the age of 12! I wouldn't mind it if I stopped aging around the age of 25 or something, that way I'd never have to worry about rinkles! Lucky green-haired thing....
Nabooru: I like this girl, she's got an attitude! She's bassically the queen of the Gerudo thieves that live in the desert part of Hyrule, and is the Sage of Spirit to boot! Although she's a Gerudo, and as such is obligated to follow Ganon, she hates him with a passion as fiery as her hair. For seven years the witches of the Spirit Temple brainwashed her into doing their bidding, but as soon as Link broke the spell she was good again. (I think Twinrova is the funnest boss to beat in OoT)
Rauru: Not much is known about this old man except that he's an ancient sage and guards the Light temple. Also, he was the first person Link saw when he woke up after seven years. He annoys me. Talks too much.
Keapora Gaebora: The annoying owl that follows you around EVERYWHERE in OoT. He even makes an appearance in Majora's Mask. The Gossip Stone says that he is the incarnation of an ancient sage.
King Harkinian: Zelda father. He's in the cartoon and comics, and is a senile old man who wants nothing more than to see Zelda and Link together, because they are so obviously in love.
Tetra: leader of the pirates in Wind Waker. She's really the reincarnation of Princess Zelda. A good girl at heart, lost her mother at a young age, and had to take over the family business as a child. Is well respected and loved among her crew.
Aryl: Link's cute little sister in Wind Waker. She loves her big brother very much, and lends him her most prized possesion for his birthday. I never really used it in the game, but it was fun to play with. She gets kidnapped by a giant bird, and later ventures around with the pirates after you save her.
Sprite: Link's guardian fairy in the cartoon. She's a princess, but works in North Castle for Zelda. She's madly in love with Link, but he doesn't share the sentiment because she's only six inches tall.
Kafei: In Majora's Mask, he was suppose to marry his childhood sweatheart, but he was cursed and transformed into a child. Then his precious wedding mask was stolen from him. This guy had tough luck in that game.
Anju: This kind woman helps her mother run the Stock Pot Inn in MM. She was suppose to marry Kafei, but then he disappeared. She's a very bad cook.
Tatl: Your tagalong fairy in MM. She's a helleva lot more fun than Navi. She loves her brother and her motivation is to save him.
Tael: Tatl's brother. He forgives easily and is an understanding fairy.
