About Storm
Storm Full Name: Stormin' Call Name: Storm Breed: Australian Shepherd Color: Blue Merle w/ copper & white DOB: June 11, 2002 
I was living in Texas and looking for a new dog to start in Search and Rescue. I had friends all over the United States that were also looking for a dog for me.
My friend, Lou Ann, found a litter in Wadsworth, Ohio and tested all the puppies. She called me, excited, because there was one that she thought would be a great candidate. Next day, I flew to Ohio, checked out the litter and Storm came home with me.
The first year with Storm was a nightmare. He was dominant, hard-headed and had his own ideas about how things should be done. Unfortunately, his ideas did not mesh with my ideas about how things should work. To make matters worse, he was not cuddly or affectionate like my previous Aussies. We just could not seem to bond.
But we eventually forged a relationship. At about a year old, we began to bond. He discovered that he really liked bellyrubs and this led to more affectionate moments. His obedience improved. I convinced him that I am alpha (or at least he lets me think that.)
Eventually, I retired from teaching and we moved back to Storm's home state, Ohio. We co-own a Bed and Breakfast. Storm and his friend, Lilly, are the official greeters. (See the link for Sugar Maple Inn.)
