Who We Are
Amazing Grace Family F.A.R.M. has been producing healthy food since
1976. We are committed to a system of food production that promotes life and conserves
natural resources by employing techniques rooted in regeneration and renewal. We have
found that balance can be maintained by following sustainable farming practices.
Farming in a sustainable system requires the careful management of
resources. We at Amazing Grace Family F.A.R.M. begin at the microscopic level by
protecting and encouraging soil organisms that enhance soil-structure and crop-nutrient
availability. We supply natural fertilizers to balance those nutrients and maximize
productivity. We rotate crops and pasture. We use absolutely no herbicides, insecticides
or other chemicals.
We sell our products directly to the customer.
Beef cattle are important to our farming system because they utilize
marginal land, recycle soil nutrients in the form of composted manure, and contribute to
bio-diversity. The animals we raise for meat live on feed that we grow ourselves; plenty
of pasture; fresh, clean water; ample sunshine and shelter. Our beef is sold
directly to you, the customer.
The system we manage ends with and depends upon the customer.
Every purchase made in our free society represents a vote for the manner of production,
the system of distribution and the values of the persons responsible for the manufacture
or disposition of that product.
By exercising the vote of "product-purchase" the
customer can participate in the work of maintaining balance.
In a society that is increasingly insensitive to the needs and
health of the individual and the land that supports us all, it is vital that as many of us
as possible make choices that provide alternatives. These choices must embrace those
smaller endeavors that affirm and focus on caring for the earth, and the people it
supports, in a responsible and sustaining manner.
Amazing Grace Family F.A.R.M. is a small family farm that is
committed to the philosophy and practice of making choices that support ecological
diversity and renewal. We believe that these choices provide the health-minded,
socially-conscious consumer with a good means to a good end. Our customers receive premium
products that are competitive with prices at local markets.
Caring for the earth is something we feel we must do. We find our
labor to be rewarding and fulfilling. We hope the satisfaction we experience will be
enjoyed by you as well.
