A Magical Evening In May

Derian House may not be local to Southport, but is a Children's Hospice based in Lancashire, that cares for terminally ill children.  Sadly for the children of Derian House and their parents, living happily ever after, is not to be.  For the parents of a child diagnoised as terminally ill, there can be no long term future - for who knows what tomorrow, next week, next year may bring.  For these families, Derian House Children's Hospice is the lifeline which gives them the strength to go on, their means of survival through the darkest moments.  It gives their children a home from home, the best possible medical care, and as mch fun and laughter as they can pack into their shortened lives.

There is no charge laid down for the hospice care provided, and as there is precious little help from central government for a children's hospice such as Derian House, they are grateful for all donations they receive, both large and small, which allows them to continue to provide care.  With less than 2% of their funding coming from official sources, the reality is that they are open 365 days a year and receive statutory funding for just 4........this is why we wish to support Derian House, both by raising funds and also by raising their profile within the Southport and Merseyside area.

Backgrouds of the team include a Marketing and Sales Executive with over 20 years experience in Corporate Business, Public, Private and Overseas Business.  Another member of the team has not only been a "thespian", but also has a wealth of PR experience and 2 local newspaper media professionals.  A owner of a local Promotions Company and a retired lecturer, who still lectures, but now in her own time!
