Jacob seeks out an old friend, Angela, at the theatre where she now directs a production of Macbeth, a play with special significance to them both. Haunted by the memories of their past actions, Jacob and Angela quietly battle themselves and each other for a resolution to their broken relationship which cost Jacob his wife, Sarah, who was also Angela's best friend. But can these two overcome the weight of their guilt and move on?
