25/1/07- According to results of a poll known as '2006 Mitch Hawker Steel Roller Coaster' poll which by the voting of many enthusiasts has made Nemesis 3rd of the best Rolllercoasters in the world. Other AT Coasters in the poll were: Oblivion at 73rd place, AIR at 75th and Rita: Queen of Speed at 105th place. Well done AT for inspiring many including us to make your coasters favoured and enjoyed!
Also in the news, AT would like to resubmit plans for a Wooden Coaster. It will have a smaller scale and be suitable for families. The General Manager wants people to write to the council to convince them to accept the plans. It is hoped it will be completed in 2008. More on this as we get it.
6/12/06 - Alton Towers will reopen Saturday 17th March 2007. Also the House and Gardens are open from 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th and 16th of December. Also in the news is that the plans to extend the Alton Towers Hotel has been approved. The extension includes 36 executive suites built adjacent to the exisiting hotel.
