ALTINKUM EVENTS - THE GRAPES WINE BAR GRAND OPENING

All are welcome to celebrate the opening of Altinkum's latest bar, The Grapes, run by Eric Norris and April Davis! Opening tonight, Saturday 29th April, The Grapes can be found opposite the top of Dolphin Square, on the same road as The Crown Inn and Billy and Lee's, or at its second entrance opposite the main Shopping Centre.

Roll up, roll up, for Altinkum's first ever consumer exhibition! Run by WIT - Women In Turkey, the Open Day on Sunday 30 March at 2pm is open to everyone, men, women and children. Exhibitors include:

...and a host of stalls selling handmade jewellery and craftwork.

The open day is downstairs at 01 Serhan Ocakbasi, directly opposite Carrefour on the main road and starts at 2pm. Don't forget, the clocks go back tonight!!!!!

Fishing Trips by motor yacht every evening at 5.30pm from Altinkum Harbour.

£20 per person including lines and bait although you are welcome to bring your own!

Refreshments available, advance booking recommended as trips can be popular.

ALTINKUM EVENTS - WEEKLY

New! Turkish evening classes for all levels, every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm, starting Tuesday 3rd July at a soon-to-be-confirmed venue in Altinkum!

Classes are suitable for beginners and upwards and are designed to build good, practical skills to help students speak and understand Turkish.

The friendly, professional teacher is experienced at teaching Turkish at all levels and has taught in the past at embassies and world-famous companies including Coca-Cola and HSBC.

Classes are only £40 per month (level one) and you are welcome to come and try out the first lesson before deciding whether or not to sign up.

Every Wednesday at 6pm on Altinkum's Main Beach - weekly softball match, open to all players! Whether you live in Altinkum or are just over on holiday, you are welcome to join the teams or simply cheer them along if playing is a little energetic for you! Great fun for all the family.

Come and join the popular weekly footy challenge on Altinkum beach every Sunday at the new time of 6pm! Open to enthusiasts of all standards - or if playing is a bit too energetic, come along to cheer on the teams!

ALTINKUM JULY EVENTS

Anyone spending extended periods in Altinkum will be pleased to hear about this discount-price book fair running for this month only on Altinkum Seafront. The stall can be found on the beach promenade in between Dolphin Square and the main street (Ataturk Boulevard) and at only 5YTL or about £2 for a brand-new book, there's really no excuse not to top up on your reading!

Calling all Didim & Altinkum residents and visitors! Do you have any spare clothes, household goods, CDs, books, souvenirs, pictures or anything else in good condition that you no longer need? Then why not donate it to a fantastic cause - to raise money for a vital heart operation for an 8-year-old Didim girl? Donations are being collected at Cengiz Bar in Camlik, up until October 7th.

Or, are you in the mood for a bit of a charity shop rummage? Fancy seeing what the people of Altinkum have put up for sale for a good cause? Maybe picking up a bargain? Then make your way to Cengiz Bar, Camlik, Altinkum between 11am & 3pm on Sunday 7th October and see what's there!
