Eve ignored her husband’s threatening gesture with the katana and fell to her knees beside Tani.

"NO!!" she screamed at Takeshi, a torrent of tears cascading down her face "You bastard! Kill me with your damned katana if you want to, I don’t care anymore! I hate you! Why do you care if I slept with him, you never loved me anyway, I’m nothing to you!!!"

Incandescent with fury, Takeshi threw his katana aside, seized his weeping wife by the arms and hauled her to her feet, away from Tani.

"You are my WIFE!" he raged at her "And you will do as you are told, you bitch!"

"Fuck you!!!" Eve yelled venomously, between sobs, struggling in his grasp and trying to lash out at him "I’m never going to let you use me for sex again, I’m going to make your life hell, you bastard!!! As far as I’m concerned, hell is where you can go and rot!!"

The back of Takeshi’s fist struck her full in the face and she found herself sprawled on the ground, blood gushing from her nose, and from the split in her lip. Helplessly, she looked up to see Animal and Takeshi advancing on Tani. Barely able to summon the strength, he forced himself to stagger to his feet. Not wanting Eve to see him die this way, he tried vainly to get away, only to be confronted by another Emerald Guard. Takeshi barked orders to his Guards, and turned to drag Eve to her feet yet again. She couldn’t make out who the other Guard was through her blurred vision, but she shrieked again as the man she loved more than life itself was felled by a vicious blow to the head.

"NO!!! HAYATO!!!!!" her hysterical screams were choked off as the Count grabbed her by the throat and dragged her away.

Animal watched as the Guard slung the unconscious Tani over his shoulder and carried him off.
