The day was slow didn't see anything it was about an hour before dark when I decided to shoot my 3d deer target. Bord I guess well I shoot high on the target. Which depressed me even more. When I went to retrive my arrow I looked up and by the edge of the woods 200 yards stood a doe looking right at me. I mumbled under my breath I know better that this why am I out here in the open. Well I turned around and slowly walked back to my blind. Now the doe had watched right were I got in to the blind. So I though my hunt was over. Has I was setting on the bucket in my blind I was watching the doe meander my way. I couldn't believe it she didn't turn and alert the whole county. As she was slowly walking tord me I noticed a buck behind her. But he wasn't moving fast enough he wasn't going to make it before dark. So I grabbed my primos can call and the buck roar I tried the can I would look through the binoculars and turn the call over a couple times. The doe didn't like it so she alerted and took off but the buck had seen the decoy. So he would walk and stop I would grunt and can call him as he got closer he would wheeze at me so I would answer back with the bleat call. I walked him in to 30 yards he looked at the decoy the hole time didn't even have a clue that I was there. I pulled back and I released he made it 60 yards . Loved every minute of it I wish I would have video taped it for you guys to see how the buck was acting.. By the way he was a 9 pointer he didn't have a lot of mass but it will work. I could have swore he was bigger than that.
