Common anomalies you may catch on digital, film or video devices

ORBS

Are sources of energy or the life force of a former living being. When the container for the life force expires the energy is no longer contained. Science has proven that the human brain creates electricity. Albert Einstein had at one time shown scientifically that when electricity had been created, it could not be destroyed.

In the natural world the sphere is the most perfect form, therefore the orb is the most common and easiest form to take to contain matter in the spirit world. Basic physics are to be taken into consideration on this matter. Why are raindrops spherical and soap bubbles are not triangular? The forces around these objects make them take the easiest shape to contain.

SHADOW PEOPLE

Represent a different configuration than the standard orb, mist or vortex. Spirits of the dead may manifest in many configuration patterns.
It takes more energy to configure into a full body apparition than a small ball of light or mist energies.

Light will not pass through different densities or masses the same way. Because spirit energy has density it can create a shadow on the ground or the wall. The shadow is not alive but the matter (although dead) is casting the shadow. Shadows are relatively common and have been cast when orbs and vortex's are photographed.

Shadow people because of their dark forms are often considered to be evil. The era of movies and television have instilled in our subconscious mind that the good guys wear white and the bad guys wear black. This misconception should be eliminated with shadow people. Shadow people are simply another manifestation of spirit energies.

Shadows can be one of the harder anomalies to photograph because of their speed and color. Mostly seen from the corners of your eyes.

I find Shadow beings are caught more on Video than stills because they move so fast.

There are actually three separate types

Type 1 - Appear as a small dark misty cloud and are almost always under two feet in length, but can hover or float up to 8 feet high.

Type 2 - Appear as a huge glob of thick cloudy mass. They typically range from 2 to 8 feet in height.

Type 3- Appear in human form and some may be seen wearing a hat. They typically appear up to 8 feet in height.

Most often spotted in homes. Have also been seen outdoors at a distance.

Birds and cats are especially sensitive to them.

Shadow people do not appear to be dangerous, although they fill the observer will an overwhelming sense of fear and dread. The sense of pure evil may create a foreboding and uncomfortable atmosphere in the home. Many choose to seek the help of ghost hunters, psychics, and even the clergy. It may be helpful to invite paranormal investigators to your home to identify the haunting. For some, a psychic cleansing has taken care of the problem. Others have chosen to invite members of the clergy to perform an exorcism of the home. Still others choose to simply leave the shadow people alone and cohabitate in relative peace.

Some people even believe shadow people are merely immature ghosts.

MISTS

Look like cigar smoke in your photographs. When most people get these anomalies on film no one had been smoking at the time of the photograph was taken.

Ectoplasm

An immaterial or ethereal substance associated with spirit manifestations.

Vortex

An anomaly that appears as a funnel or rope-like image in photographs. These images are sometimes thought to represent ghosts, collections of orbs or gateways which travel to a wormhole in time-space. There has been no substantial scientific evidence to support any of these theories.

Type of Haunting

The Intelligent Haunt

In this type of haunting, the spirit has a purpose that is probably unrelated to you, although they may be seeking your help to solve their own issues. The intelligent spirit is aware of your presence and usually attempts to communicate with you in some way.

Intelligent spirits are believed to be the energy of a person who died unexpectedly or traumatically. Some paranormal experts believe that this kind of spirit does not know that it is dead and is simply continuing with life as unusual.

Inhuman Spirits

Inhuman spirits are exactly what the name implies. These spirits are inhuman and have never been a human. They exist as an entity of their own. Some claim that inhuman spirits are demons or evil spirits that were cast out of heaven with Satan. These spirits roam the earth in search of someone whom they can possess.

It is believed that inhuman spirits harbor extreme hatred towards humans and that all of their activities are designed to pave the way to breaking the person’s will and taking possession of their body.

Inhuman spirits are able to manifest themselves in any form they choose.

Residual Ghosts

A residual ghost appears at the same time and place over and over. It may appear nightly, weekly, or even yearly; but whenever it appears it repeats the same patterns observed on previous sightings. It is believed that residual hauntings make up the vast majority of reported experiences.

The residual ghost does not interact with those around it. It seems to be oblivious to your presence and continues with its nightly travels whether or not you are there to observe it.

Typical Signs of a Haunting

Most typically people report "hearing" things that go 'bump' in the night. The most commonly heard sound is that of someone walking, frequently associated with this sound is hearing a door that opens or closes. Upon investigation there is no one on the premises.

Although less typical, reports of 'seeing' a spirit or being 'touched' are the next most often reported incidents.

Smell is often associated with spirit activity. I hesitate to list smells and their associations for fear of influencing anyone's perceptions of a situation. However if you are associating smells with spirit events don't be frightened, this is pretty common too.

Here is a short list of some common events that happen in a haunting:

Hearing you name being called when nobody is around.
Seeing shadows move around or through walls.
Hearing footsteps in a vacant room.
A strange feeling of being watched when alone.
Missing items or other small objects,then only to reappear someplace else weeks later.
Lights, televisions, radios etc. being turned on when off, or vice-versa
Household animals staring intensely at nothing or acting unusual.
Doors and windows being locked or unlocked, shut or opened.
Being touched when no one is present.
Scratches appearing on a persons body for no reason.
Every haunting is different,some will have many of these and some will only have a few I listed.
Often active haunting's have distinctive smells associated with them
Areas within the building that have notably colder spots.
Be observant of your animals. They are particularly sensitive to spirits, and entities and more than likely be a good indicator at times when something is going on of a paranormal nature.

Pay attention to your dreams , sometimes they can be indicators of paranormal phenomena, especially if you seem to have the same horrible or terrifying dreams or nightmares. Keep a journal of your dreams, record them. They can be of tremendous help to investigators working on your case.
