The Sims 2 Delayed

Official word from both EA and Maxis came today, with some news about the release of The Sims 2, originaly slated for release in "Spring 2004". The development of The Sims 2 is a huge undertaking and the bar has been set high. EA will ship The Sims 2 in the later half of Calendar Year '04 (Fall 2004). Maxis has learned from past products that a game is ready when it is ready. The extra time in the studio will ensure a great game – one that is consistent with the high standards set by Maxis. When games spend more time in the studio, it almost always results in a better experience for the people that play them. With more time for Maxis to work, the game will have more content, less bugs, and be over all a better game. We will bring you more information on the release as we get it.
