October 23, 1995-
Louis Richardson was fed up with his wife Renee. Renee was speaking of leaving him, because he had started another family.
They had one child, Cherisse Richardson (11), who was being sexually solicited, and beaten by her father, when she refused to help
him sell drugs from there Chicago apartment.
When Louis was finally fed up, he shot the mother in the head five times. Cherisse hid in the kitchen.
When he found Cherisse, he raped her. He tried to shoot her, but she managed to escape to another part of the house.
Police say she hid inside a large laundry bag. When he could not find her, he gave up, and turned the gun on himself.
After the event, Cherisse refused to talk. It was twelve months later, when a school counselor got her to speak.
Despite the circumstances that this child lived through, word has it that she did well in school.
Instead of continuing on the path that her parents were leading her down, Cherisse became an honors student, and three time
US Academic Decathlon Champion. What a kid!
