We at ALLEARZ Miniature DONKEYS wish everyone a great New Year 2009. Times are difficult-but with GOD'S help, may we all make it through to better times.
We would like to welcome you to our website, and hope you enjoy your visit with us. We have several pages to look through, and some photos of our donkeys and other farm residents. We have raised equines for many years, starting out in the 1960's raising and showing Arabian Horses. We also raised Quarter horses, registered Tennessee Fainting Goats, Mammoth Jackstock, and Miniature donkeys.
Since my beloved husband of 42 years passed away quite suddenly in March of 2006, I have had to downsize due to the amount of upkeep, and am now just raising Registered Miniature donkeys. We have several jennets, mostly spotted, and usually have a few foals to sell each year. Sometimes it is difficult to part with them, as they are all so sweet and each one has their own little personalities.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I have been raising Miniature donkeys for many years. When I started with miniature donkeys, I only knew of one other person
who also had them. There weren't really computers then, and only occasionally would you hear by word-of-mouth of someone somewhere who also had a miniature donkey. Many people are now coming to know the donkey and realizing that they are not horses, and are even more intelligent, and cautious-which has many times gotten them blame for"being stubborn"or "being stupid". A donkey needs ..................
to take time to evaluate the situation, see that there is no danger, and if he trusts his "owner"companion, he will do as he is asked.
To know a donkey is to love one, and they are like potato chips, as the saying goes, "you just can't have one". First of all one donkey is a lonely donkey, and second of all they are "addicting!" It is a good thing that so many people are learning of the real love and joy a donkey can bring to your life, and they are a joy to have.
Our farm is located on 18 acres, in beautiful middle Tennessee. We bought this land in 1978 and it was just a hay pasture. My husband and I together built every fence, and every building on the property together, and his spirit will always be here with us.
This is not the fanciest, nor the biggest farm, but it is safe and has plenty of room for all the critters, and every field has a shelter, so there is no one left out in the rain or wind or cold-unless they choose to stand out in it, which sometimes they do, and I still don't know why! The ALLEARZ gang are a herd of HAPPY, HEALTHY ,HANDSOME HEEHAWS (just a little chubby)!Although they have plenty of room to run and exercise, they prefer grazing and just "hanging out" and maybe gossiping a little! ♥
Legend has it that the donkey remained faithful to Jesus, and was at the crucifixion after all had left and as he turned away because he was so sad to see Jesus suffer, the shadow of the cross was permanently marked on his back.♥
Their loyalty is true. GOD, my donkeys, and my dogs have kept me going through these hard times since my loss.If not for them, and my family, I could not have continued in this life.♥
Thank you for visiting my website, and please enjoy all the pages and photos and come back again.
