ITCHING- ferrets do this alot, but if they do it more often then others Check into the fact that it could be a detergent your using when washing there bedding, or simply dry skin. Either way if your fert is itching to the point that they are causing scabs go to the vet where you can get them a proper ointment to apply.
Heavy Panting- ferrets can suffer from heat stroke they can not handle temps above 80 degrees (this is because they dont sweat) So if your fert is outside in temps above this and heavy panting occurs get him/her inside IMMEDIATLY! Offer water to drink, cool water to sit in or place him/her in front of a fan.
Limping- If limping occurs consider the fact that your ferret has broken a bone, get him to the vet immediatly keep him warm and still.
Diarrhea- several reasons for this can be..serious like distemper or even liver disease or just that he ate something that did not agree with them..either way get your furrkid to the vet.
Vomiting- Get your fuzzie to a vet this is most likely a blockage from ingesting something that he/she can not pass.
Coughing/wheezing- This could be a result of cold,allergies, heart disease, or pneumonia.
Unable to urinate- could be caused by kidney failure or blockage.
Green diarrhea- ECE, stress, or upset stomache.
Dark stool- internal bleeding
short broken whiskers- poor nutrition or health.
Constant small stool- poor rectal muscles
Pale gums- low blood sugar or anemia
