Mini-Revs for the games of yore

Welcome to Mini-Revver 2D edition!

If you're looking for meaty and entertaining reviews, you probably won’t find much of worth here. I maintain this site mainly as a personal "reference card" of the games I've played, and my views on them are presented in an objective (but extremely subjective), analytical manner, splitting the games into parts and scoring them on a 1-10 scale, rather than judging them as a whole. Or talking about myself instead of the games, as is the norm today. Recently, I’ve been adding some actual text in the form of pros and cons for each game, covering information that won’t come across in a 10 point scale score. I’ve even added some presentational texts for a few of the games, but this isn’t something I do regularly.

That said, feel free to look around and drop me a comment if you see an error, want to fight about a score, or just want to talk games.

Rating System

I rate games on a scale of 1-10. This is what each number means to me:

1 = An absolute shitfest.

2 = Terrible. A bad example.

3 = Clearly not worth it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless I don't like them.

4 = Below Average. Might interest hardcore fans of the genre though.

5 = Average. A game that does what you'd expect of the format and genre, but nothing more.

6 = Passable. Not quite there, but still interesting.

7 = Good. I like the game and think it's worth at least one playthrough.

8 = Great. Truly enjoyable and worth going back to at a later date.

9 = Fantastic. A brilliant game that leaves me in awe.

10 = Perfect. Compared to the competition at the time, the game is flawless.

All games were played on normal/default difficulty.

Numbers in paranthesis refer to the single player experience unless otherwise stated.
