My name is Allan Fisher.  I have struggled with my weight my whole life  I am 36 years old.  I restarted WW on 1/22/2002.  My first weigh in was an astonishing 422.2 lbs!!  My friend at work convinced me to join again.  I am so grateful that Tim got me back into WW.  I attend  meetings at the Dearborn, MI center with my wonderful Leader Sue and the awesome weigh in girls Jill and Lisa.  I have a wonderful supportive family, Mom, Dad, Aaron, and Wendy, I love you all very much!!  My girlfriend, Cathy has been very supportive of my aspirations to keep the weight off.  My friends are also very supportive and great!  The WW 200 lbs to lose board on the web really helps me for inspiration and support.

I, like so many others have created this website to provide more inspiration to others as they struggle with their weight loss journey.  I was inspired by KellySciFi, DarleneElizabeth, and RowdyKat, so I said that I have to document and show my story!

On 9/2/2003, I now weigh less than 200 lbs.  I honestly think that the last time I was this weight was in high school.  I am truly blessed and amazed at the success that I have had this time around in my weight loss.  Whenever I am or will be asked how I did this I say, 1. God 2. Family and Friends, 3. Weight Watchers. 

I hope that you can learn something and gain inspiration from this website.  Let me state right here and now that this journey is not easy.  It takes a lot of work, perserverance, love, and adjustments along the way.  However, it is SOOO worth the effort!!  I just posted my 200 lbs lost photos on my page.  I will be posting some new pictures of me below 200 lbs soon.    Thanks for visiting my site.

Update 10/3/2003

I have revamped the website just a little.  I have added some new pictures.  My total weight loss is now over 230 lbs!  I am still amazed at where I am now!!!

I reached goal on 11/25/2003.  I will be updating the site soon with my latest pictures.

Update 2/4/2004

Well, it is over two years now that I changed my life forever!  I have reached lifetime status at WW on 12/30/2003.  I am currently working on my first month of lifetime status and taking it one month at a time.  Life is good!

Hi there!  Looks like all of my old data is back!!  I just wanted to update everyone.  I am continuing to maintain my goal weight.  It has not been easy, but I am doing it!!  Thanks for visiting my site.  I hope that you gain some inspiration from it.

Update 5/6/2005

Well, I haven't updated this site in a long time!  I am still here.  The last few months have been a struggle Weight management wise.  For 2005, I am up a little over 8 lbs.  I am gradually getting it back under control program wise now.  I think that I am almost there again mentally.  I recently got engaged to Cathy.  See our picture on the site.  We are starting to plan a late October Wedding this year.  I will be in tip/top shape again, I guarentee you.  Hang in there, as I am living proof, that your struggles don't end with lifetime status!  Talk to you soon and thanks for visiting my site!!! 

NEW UPDATE!!!  10/7/2005

Hi again to all of my faithful visitors.  I am humbled by all of the guestbook entries from around the world.  I do read them, believe me!  I am so honored and blessed by God!  I truly hope that my tips, suggestions, story, and my pictures will inspire you to get the weight off and live a brand new wonderful life!  What has been happening to me in my life is incredible.  My wedding is in a little over two weeks, October 22, 2005.  Cathy and I are going to Hawaii for two weeks for our honeymoon!  I am getting very excited.  I promise that I will post some new pictures from our Wedding/Hawaii on the website when I return in December. 

One thing that a lot of visitors have asked me for is an email address that they could write to me with questions, comments, advice, etc.  Well, I have created a special email address now just for this purpose. 

It is alweightman@comcast.net.  Feel free to send me a line.  I will promise to check that email at least twice a week and write back to you when I can.  I have stated before that I firmly believe that GOD has worked this weight loss miracle through me so that I can be a tool to others who share the same struggle as I did with food.  This is my way to give back to the LORD for his wonderful gift.  I have been lax in the past few months with all of the wedding plans, but I am going to step up to my promise to God to help others.

NEW UPDATE!!!  3/12/2007

Hi there!  It has been way too long since I have updated this site.  A lot has happened in my life since I last updated you on my progress.  My last entry was just prior to my Wedding on 10/22/2005.  Check out the wedding photo at this link http://www.freewebs.com/algolfman/wedding03.jpg 

I have stumbled a little in the past 1.5 years with my weight maintenance program since the wedding, however.  I am recommited this year to get back to goal, though.  It just proves that marriage can be an excuse for getting off track.  I really haven't backed off of my physical excercise/fitness program, but the eating habits have become a problem.  I am making slow but sure progress on that front, though.  I keep praying to God to help me with this struggle.  He is always faithful and will help me get through it.  I am Blessed, believe me.  I love my life still and I KNOW I am on my way back to goal soon!  Thanks for visiting.  I will be adding some new features, pictures, etc. soon.  Stop by anytime, and send me a line at my email above.  Thanks, and God Bless!
