My name is LaDean Moen, president of the Friends of Knute organization.  July 2008 the former auxiliary and the two hundred twenty volunteers were merged into the Friends of Knute.  Bylaws have been written and approved and we are members of HCAM, the Health Care Auxiliary of Minnesota.

The mission of Friends of Knute includes strengthening efforts to enhance the quality of life for individuals served through the Knute Nelson Corporation, modeling compassion and service across generations, involving more individuals, and integrating generations.

Membership is open to men, women and families.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:  Wheelchair Transportation, Christmas Decorating, Bake Sales, Letter Writing, Cards/Games, Special Events, Beauty Shop, Manicures, Gardener, Mail Delivery, Coffee/Gift Shop, Music, Fund Raising, Wellness, Sewing, Visitors, Shopper, Pet Visiting, Bingo, Reading, Wii Games.
