I got this mav from my father, who owned his share of classic domestics like a torino cobra,mustang mach one and several mavericks.He aquired this one from my uncle hector who owed him and gave it to him to settle his debt.He let it stand for 12 years,then when we moved to my grandmothers house he gave it to me in the fall of 2002.When i found it it was a missing parts, torn up and sunbeat.For the first two years I only did minor work on it since i was in high school and never had money or knowledge the only thing i did was re-wire it, aquire a radiator and rebuild the carb.But it did start right up the first time, then i found the mecca of Mavericks the Maverick.to message board there i was able to learn alot about these cars also decode the Door Tag which shows what the car came with.

ABOUT ME:
Well my name is Alex i'm 19 years old and i live in the birthplace of Hot Rodding(Southern California), in the Inland Empire(Riverside) area, its not the so-cal you see on TV were more laid back in the IE and much cooler than the politically correct, tree-hugging LA/OC people you see on TV. It's a great place for Hot-Rodding, many Chop Cut Rebuilt episodes were shot here along with some Rides and PHR and Car Craft do alot of work here.We also have some nice dragstips like Irwindale and Autoclub Speedway.I am a Die-Hard Ford Guy but i also like other makes(mostly domestic). I Hope in the future to become a fabricator and open up a shop that specializes in maverick/comet parts.I'm also a huge music freak i like everything under the sun from Alternative Rock to country,I'm also a songwriter and music composer i go by the name 91 Octane.
