From the factory my Mav came with a 122HP(SAE Net) 8.0:1 302 2bbl. a previous owner added a few mild performance parts, and so did I.

*all After market parts used were C.A.R.B. approved(smog/street legal) as of 2005 Pre 76 cars no longer require a smog check in the great state of Kalifornijia :-)

Previous Owner Added:

53.5 cc bumps comp ratio to around 8.4:1
Crane Cam H-260-2
Specs Dur:260/272 Lift:.456/.484
Edebrock Performer 289 Intake

I Added:
Holley 4160(R6919) 4bbl w/trick kit 62 jets,39plate

On the (Dyno2000)Desktop Dyno it made 242HP@5500 and 281TQ@ 3500. I only got to drive it 50 feet before the block split due to a hex wrench in the combustion chamber....next engine will be a 5.0L HO with many of the old engine parts.

The first air cleaner i used was an Edelbrock Pro Flow 14x3 i picked up at Autozone for $40. Then later i won a K&N Filter Assembly of my choice at the 06 K&N Show and Go. I got a 14x4 with a 1 and 1/8 Drop base to make it fit i had to add a 1" spacer so it could clear the Duraspark distributor.I picked up this trick one at Autozone its made by Spectre Performance and it allows you to run a 4-hole for more low end or swap it out to a open for more upper-end power, it cost me $20 and it came with extra gaskets and stainless steel stud's.
