My mav came with great brakes from the factory, Power disk breaks in the front and 10" drums in the rear 2.79 8" differential. The only problem is that they interchange with other fords so all the stang/falcon guys harvest them up, but if you get lucky you might find a mav/comet or granada/monarch and the parts swap right over to the older mavs.
I bought new rotors from the friction shop down the street for $60 also a rear drum hardware kit for $10, i got new hoses at napa for $15each and a master cylinder with life-warranty for $44, the brake shoes i got for $20 at autozone, the Raybestos pads and calipers i got from CSK for $12 and $30.
In the rear i'm going to be converting to Explorer disks

*Heres a link, if your interested in this rear disk swap.
These wheels i got from a junked 92 crown vic there are (15x6.5)F:215/60R15 R:215/70R15, because of the backspacing i cant fit larger tires, i have about 3/8 clearance on the leaf spring.
I plan to run 2000 Cobra R wheels in the future (17x9) F:235/40R17 R:275/40R17, along with a 3.55 8.8" rear differential.
