Our first due areas are Saint Clair borough New castle twsp and parts of Blythe and East Norwegian twsp. we also provide mutual aid to numerous othe departments in are county we will try to update the page on a regular basis with all the goings on and company news check back often for updates

MAJOR CRASH W/ENTRAPMENT

8/01/07 AT AROUND 1300HRS ENGINE 701 AND 702 RESPONDED TO THE BURMA RD OUTSIDE ST.CLAIR IN EAST NORWEGIAN TWSP FOR A EUCLID ON TOP A PICKUP UPON ARRIVAL OF THE ENGINES CREWS PULLED TWO FOAM LINES AND PROVIDED FLUID CONTROL. CREWS ALSO ASSISTED WITH THE EXTRICATION. BOTH ENGINES WERE ON SCENE ALONG WITH RESCUE 63,993 AND 26 ALSO ON SCENE WERE TANKER 831 AND ENGINE 41 REPORTS ARE THE PATIENT IS DOING WELL AT A LOCAL TRAUMA CENTER.

MVA W/INJURY

7/27/07 E701 WAS DISPATCHED ALONG WITH THE RESCUE AND EMS FOR A CRASH WITH POSSIBLE ENTRAPMENT ON 61 NORTHBOUND JUST SOUTH OF FRACKVILLE BOROUGH UPON ARRIVAL CREWS FOUND ONE CAR ON ITS SIDE WITH ONE PATIENT EXTRICATED BY PASSERBYS WITH SERIOUS INJURY EMS REQUESTED TO FLY BUT WERE UNABLE DUE TO WEATHER THE CREW OF 701 ASSISTED EMS IN PATIENT CARE AND SCENE LIGHTING THE ENGINE AS ON SCENE APPROX 1 HOUR.

TOWER WITH 3 RUNS 2 WORKERS

7/22/07 AT AROUND 0330 TOWER 701 WAS REQUESTED TO MOVE UP TO SCHUYLKILL HAVEN FIRE STATION 2 ALONG WITH UNITS FROM PINE GROVE WHILE HAVEN WORKED A FIRE IN CRESSONA BOROUGH. AT AROUND 0630 THE TOWER WAS REQUESTED TO A SECOND WORKING FIRE ON POTTSVILLE ST. IN CRESSONA T701 RESPONDED AND ARRIVED ALONG WITH LANDINGVILLE ENGINE 4710 TO FIND FIRE IN THE 3ND FLOOR OF A 2 1/2 STORY SFD THE TOWER CREW ALONG WITH A CREW FROM ENGINE 11 VENTED THE ROOF THROUGH GOUND LADDERS AND PERFORMED SALVAGE OPPS. THE TOWER WAS ON SCENE APPROX 1 HOUR. WHILE CLEARING UP FROM  THE POTTSVILLE STREET CALL THE TOWER WAS REQUESTED TO HEAD TO THE CHERRY ST FATAL TO ASSIST WITH MANPOWER  AND OVERHAUL. THE TOWER CREW WAS ON SCENE APPROX 1 1/2 HOURS AND CLEARED  AROUND 9AM

4 CALL DAY

7/5/07 A BUSY DAY FOR THE ENGINE CREW TODAY HANDLEING THREE CRASHES AND ONE LZ. THE DAY STARTED A LITTLE AFTER 7AM WITH A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON 2ND AND LAWTON STS. CREWS ARRIVED TO FIND TWO EHICLES WITH TWO MINOR INJURIES AND NO FLUIDS DOWN. THE 2ND CALL CAME IN AT 1415 PM FOR A CAR INTO A TRACTOR TRAILER ON RT 61 BY HANCOCK ST. ENGINE 701 RESPONDED AND ARRVIVED TO FIND THE OCCUPANT OUT OF THE VEHICLE ITH HEAD AND CHEST INJURIES THE CAR AS LODGED UNDER THE TRAILER. BEFORE CLEARING THE WRECK THE ENGINE PROCEEDED TO THE SAINT CLAIR BASESBALL FIELD TO HELP SUPPORT THE  LIFEFLIGHT LANDING FOR THE MVA VICTIM CREWS STOOD BY AND ASSISTED WITH CARRYING THE PATIENT TO THE CHOPPER. AT AROUND 1730 HRS THE ENGINE WAS DISPATCHED TO THE FRACKVILLE GRADE FOR AN MVA THE ENGINE RESPONDED AND SEARCHED AND FOUND NOTHING. THE ENGINE CLEARED A SHORT TME LATER.

 

THREE CALLS FOR THE DAY

6/17/07 CREWS HAD A SEMI BUSY SUNDAY HANDLEING THREE CALLS IN THE LATE MORNING / EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS THE FIRSTCALL CAME IN AROUND 10 AM WITH A REPRTED CO CALL AT 219S. MILL ST SHORTLY AFTER DISPATCH THE CALL WAS UPRADED TO A FULL STRUCTURE BOX WITH CALLS COMING IN FROM THE RESIDENCE REPORTING A SMELL OF SMOKE ENGINE 702 RESPONED AND WAS FIRST IN DID AN INTERIOR SEARCH WITH THE THERMAL CAM AND FOUND NOTHING FIRE RELATED THE CREW ALSO CHECKED WITH THE TWO GAS MONITORS AND FOUND A SLIGHT CO PROBLEM FROM A MALFUNCTIONING FURNACE. CREWS SHUT DOWN THE PROBLEM AND VENTILATED THE RESIDENCE CREWS WERE ON SCENE APPROX. ONE HOUR. WHILE BACKING IN THE STATION FROM THE PREVIOUS CALL THE ENGINE WAS CALLED TO WADE RD FOR A TREE BLOCKING THE ROAD THE ENGINE RESPONDED AND FOUND A SMALL TREE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CREWS THEN CLEARED IMMEADIATLY. THE THIRD CALL CAME IN AROUND NOOD FOR A QUAD ACCIDENT AT WALMART ENGINE 702 RESPONED A DID A SEARCH OF THE MOUNTAIN AROUND WALMART. SHORTLY AFTER THE SEARCH THE VICTIM WAS LOCATED AT THE HOSPITAL GOING THIER IN A POV. THE ENGINE WAS ON SCENE APPROX 45 MINUTES

MUTUAL AID TIRE FIRE

6/16/07 SHORTLY AFTER RETURNING FROM THE WILLIAM PENN FIRE CO PARADE ENGINE 702 WAS REQUESTED TO ASSIST NEW CASTLE TWSP FIREFIGHTERS OPERATING AT A TIRE FIRE ON NEW WADE RD. ENGINE 702 RESPONDED WITH A CREW OF 7. UPON ARRIVAL CREWS FOUND MULTIPLE YUK TIRE BURNING ON COAL PROPERTY. ENG 702 CREW PULLED THE FRONT FOAM LINE FOR FIRE KNOCK DOWN. THE ENGINE USED 40 GALLONS OF FOAM AND WAS SUPPLIED WATER FROM MT CARBON FIRE CO CREWS WERE ON SCENE APPRX. 2 HOURS.

HOSE AND BARRAL COMPITITION

6/16/07 MEMBERS FRANK UHRIN, MIKE MCGINLY, KEVIN CARROLL, AND JOHN DESJARDINE PARTICIPATED IN GOOD INTENT FIRE CO POTTSVILLE ANNUAL HOSE AND BARREL COMPITITION . CREWS HAD A GREAT TIME AND ALOT OF FUN IN THE EVENT. WE WOULD LIKE TO CONGRADULATE CRESSONA FIRE CO ON WINING THE EVENT. AND WE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO ENTERING AGAIN NEXT YEAR.  

WORKING SHED FIRE

6-11-07 AT APPROX 1635 HRS ENGINE 702 WAS DISPATCHED FOR AN UNKNOWN TYPE FIRE IN THE AREA OF ANN AND OAK ST. E702 RESPONDED AND ARRIVED 2ND DUE BEHIND E704 UPON ARRIVAL CRES FOUND A 25X10 SHED FULLY INVOLVED WITH EXTENSION INTO THE WOODS E702 PERSONEL ASSISTED WITH FIRE ATTACK AND WAS THE WATER SUPPLY ENGINE . THEENGINE OPERATED ON SCENE APPRAX 2 HOURS..

HAZ-MAT INCIDENT

5-01-07 HAZMAT TIGERS DEN ROUTE 61 ENGINE 701 & 702 WERE CALLED AT APPROX. 11AM FOR A REPORT OF A CAR INTO THE GAS PUMP BOTH ENGINES RESPONED AND ARRIVED ON SCENE TO FIND A TWO CAR MVA WITH ONE CAR INTO THE PUMPS SHEARING OF THE GAS LINES TO THE TANK. CREWS USED FOAM FROM 702 TO BLANKET THE AREA SO THE VEHICLES COULD BE REMOVED IN A SAFE MANOR. UNITS WERE ON SCENE APPROX 1 1/2  HOURS.

 

 

MVA W/INJURY

5-1-07 MVA RT. 61 AND RUSSELL ST. ENGINE 701 HANDLED A FOUR CAR MVA WITH A MINOR INJURY AT THIS INTERSECTION TODAY. CREWS PROVIDED FLUID CONTROL AND DEBRIS REMOVAL. THE ENGINE WAS ON SCENE APPROX. 20 MINUTES.

CAR VS. POLE

4-26-07 MVA 2ND ST. & INDUSTRIAL PARK RD. TODAY AT AROUND 06:00 HRS. ENGINE 701 & 702 HANDLED AN MVA SPORT UTILITY INTO A LIGHT POLE. THE TWO ENGINGINES ARRIVED AND FOUND A SPORT UTILITY INTO A LIGHT POLE WITH THE POLE BEING DOWN. CREWS STOOD BY ON SCENE A PROVIDED BASIC VEHICLE OPPS THE ENGINES WERE ON SCENE APPROX 20 MINUTES

AFA W/SMOKE CONDITION

4/15/07 AFA 585 WADE RD. ENGINE 701 & 702 RESPONDED ALONG WITH STAONS 3 & 4 TO AN AFA AT 585 WADE RD. ENGINE 702 FIRST ON SCENE TOOK COMMAND AND DID A PRIMARY SEARCH OF A ONE STORY RANCH HOUSE CREWS FOUND  A STOVE TO BE LEFT ON WITH A LIGHT SMOKE CONDITION IN THE RESIDENCE. THE HOMEOWNER SELF VENTILATED BY OPENING SOME WINDOWS AND CREWS CLEARED THE SCENE IN FIFTEEN MINUTES

 

MUTUAL AID WORKER

4/11/07 TOWER GOES TO MUTUAL AID WORKER

TOWER 701 WAS REQUESTED ON THE SECOND ALARM FOR A WORKING CHURCH FIRE IN MECHANICSVILLE BOROUGH AT ARPROX. 1240 AM. THE TOWER RESPONDED WITH A FULL CREW OF SIX AND PROVIDED LADDERING OF THE BUILDING AND VENTILATION. THE TOWER WAS ON SCENE APROX. 2 HOURS
