The Beginning
Al started singing when he was about 8yrs old and has a very interesting range of inspiration from Rolling stones, u2, bowie, the Red hot chili peppers and Simple Minds to name but a few , but most of all he has followed Wet Wet Wet since 1987 and thinks the voice of Marti Pellow is different class and has always said that he would love to even have a small piece of the talent that Marti has.
Al went onto sing in pubs i:e Karaoke and moved onto talent competitions through out Scotland and managed to win a couple and get to finals.
He then thought of trying the band scene and became the vocals for just a songwriter which was good at the time for experience in singing original songs and trying writing a few of his own (Badly), which he still has that very own first demo which is good for laugh now and again.
Then he joined a 5 piece band called "Sandcastle" which again was good for experience in the live club scene.
Al had started a Wet Wet Wet tribute band in 2005 with fellow Wets fans,the band are called PICTURE THIS and already have grown from strength to strength in that short space of time with sell out shows already under their belts,you'll find there website on the links section.
